Owner description: Mars Cheese Castle is a family owned Wisconsin staple and grown tour attraction situated on I-94 between Milwaukee and Chicago. It is a castle that houses many departments including a specialty market offering more than 700 cheeses, wines and specialty items from Wisconsin and around the world, an in house bakery featuring desserts, kringles and breads (famous for its cheese and jalapeno cheese bread) baked daily, a restaurant popular for its many generously portioned cheese & meat sandwiches and featured burger and sandwiches of the month and a pub, well known for it's Wisconsin beers on tap and famous Bloody Mary (don't forget the beer chaser, a Wisconsin tradition!). Don't forget to pick up a souvenir in the gift shop on your way out!

If you're traveling through the Kenosha WI area, you need to do yourself a favor and stop by the Mars Cheese Castle...you can't miss the giant castle just off the highway. Easy on/off exit makes it a quick stop. As you enter, you're greeted by a large mouse in shining armour which provides a fun photo stop for tourists. There is seemingly something for everyone here. If you're in the mood for a quick, delicious meal, you can order a warm or cold sandwich at the counter toward the back of the large main room. Beverages and sides are also readily available. Take time to browse through the considerable merchandise for sale in the main shopping area. You'll find a large selection of food products as well as wine, Packers attire, specialty sodas and craft beer. There is a bakery, (and samples), as well as a deli/cheese room...(did I mention samples/), where you will find a wide array of product, sure enough to please even the pickiest shopper.
If you have a little bit more time on your hands, check out the large pub at the back of the castle. Complimentary pub cheeses and crackers are available as you sip your suds!
All in all the Mars Cheese Castle is a place worth stopping by to visit when you're in town!

this place has been around since forever, I love to walk around and taste and smell all the food. I really like the new building, but I miss the old one. Check this place out for new and interesting foods, lovley samples, and its always great to support local business.

You can spend an hour or two just looking around the store. Grab lunch or free samples and search all the different variations of everything! Tons of cheese, hot sauce, jelly and jams and wine and beer! Such a fun place to go, even if you don't buy anything.

Very impressive building. They have many different types of cheese. Also have a little bakery and a restaurant. A little disappointing that the building is so big compared to their old building but they don't seem to have more items in the store. Definitely worth a visit to pick up some cheese.

We stopped at the cheese castle to stretch our legs after a long drive. It had just opened so we were the only ones there. We tried lots of different cheese samples and some bread samples in the bakery. The kids enjoyed posing for pictures with all the different statues. The staff was helpful in answering our questions. We picked up a couple Wisconsin souvenirs and some yummy food for the road. We loved it!
