“A good museum”
Reviewed June 22, 2012

This is a good museum. It has really been open just 3 or 4 years- I believe. Everthing is fresh and new. The exhibts are good for, in my opinion, middle school kids and above. Adult admission is $7. I think anyone who lives in the area and has an interest in the Civil War will find this musuem interesting.I found many items of local interest pertaining to the Civil War in this museum. I learned more than a few things about the great lakes states and the Civil War that I had never heard before. This museum isn't really focused heavily on Civil War battles that took place in other states. It focues on the home front and the role played by the great lakes states. It's great place to research any relatives who may have fought in the war.
