“Top Notch German Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014

We shared a platter and found the food to be the best in the Midwest! Compliments to the chef and to Marie S. for GREAT tasting authentic German food. I now see why the restaurant has the rating of #5 greatest German food in the United States.

“VERY GOOD CHOICE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2014

We have been to the Winzer Stube before, although this was the first time with our daughter who has been a European traveler. It is located in downtown Hudson in a historic opera houseWe all agreed that it was a great place, with old world charm and ambiance. The food was excellent and (Hoelsteiner Schniitzel, Jagerschnitzel, and Rahmschnitzel "Saarland") All three were very, very good. The spatzle was just right and the red and white cabbage also were excellent. The bread came right from the oven and was warm and tasty. The Pilsner and Ale were chilled nicely and the Josef Mueller Reisling very good. Nothing to complain aout except choosing the right dessert. We have had the apple struessel before but chose a raspberry bread pudding this time and it will be our choice in the future as well. The waitress we had was a tad bit forgetful but we had time on our side so it was not an evening killer.

Our 3 year old granddaughter was treated quite nicely, expecially the the accordian paying entertainer. And at the end of her meal she was present with a large ice cream sundae with chocolate drizzle and cherry on top at no charge.

Wonderful place, excellently prepared food, friendly staff. Not sure about it being handicap accessible as there are stairs to walke down both in the front and rear. did not see an elevator.

“Germany came to me...no passport required.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2014

I have had the opportuity to dine at the Winzer Stube on several occations, and each time it is like walking into a authentic german beer hall, that happens to serve amazing food.

Everytime I have been there either with a friend or a larger group - it becomes an event. The staff is incredible & the food is highlighted by enbracing seasonal specials. The sausage sampler is fantastic - locally made sausage, great sides.

“Fantastic”

Great food in my opinion. Authentic German beer on tap. Dale, one of the evening entertainment singer's, is awesome, after seeing him at the Winzer Stube I asked him to sing at my wedding reception. He did and he was a hit.

“Great date night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2014 via mobile

My wife and I had dinner at the Winzer Stube in Hudson. It is one of our favorite places to eat. The food is always delicious, the service is great, and the city of Hudson is a quaint place to visit. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and we love having German food. Marie and her staff make you feel special. You should take the time to head to Hudson for the best German food in this country.
