About what you would expect. Comfort Suites are generally decent to stay at. The only bad thing I have to say was the office gal that checked me in must have been new. It took about 15 mins to get checked in, not normally a problem but I was exhausted. Room was clean as it should be and cost was fair for the location.

We stayed for a 2-night weekend at the Comfort Suites in Hudson, Wisconsin, and were delighted with the facility, the location, and the service. It is a new facility that is clean and comfortable. The breakfast room is spacious and a nice place during the day. Across the lobby is a nice sitting area. The business center has 2 computers with printers. The hotel is also has free wi-fi in guest rooms. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is large and very nice. Located adjacent to the interstate with numerous restaurants in the vicinity, the hotel is in a very convenient spot. Finally, the staff bend over backwards to assist. We watched them all weekend do whatever was necessary assisting other parties with a variety of issues. The staff was friendly and efficient--a relatively rare combination these days. In sum, stay here.

We enjoyed our one-night stay. Service was great with the the front desk personnel being friendly and helpful. It is a newer property so the rooms were clean and furnishings were quite nice. We also liked the layout of the room.

We were in town for a wedding and had the opportunity to stay at the Comfort Suites in Hudson. The hotel is relatively new and all the furnishings are nicely done. The room reminded me of a new Fairfield or Courtyard room. The pool is fine for young children but quite shallow and there is no hot tub. We were disappointed in that. The fitness room had new equipment including treadmills with built in tv's. The breakfast includes waffles, hot eggs, a meat of the day (usually ham or bacon) and they had the usual spread of continental options including cereal, breads, pastries, fruit, hard boiled eggs and yogurt. The bacon was quite thin but still tasted fine. Cookies and coffee are served all day.

While in the area we had the pleasure of golfing at the Troy Burne Golf Course and it was an outstanding challenging course, which was in excellent shape. It is very close to the hotel. Be sure to have a drink and/or appetizer on the outdoor patio after your round.

What really stood out at this hotel was the friendly efficient service. We asked for a recommendation for dinner and were referred to the Pier 500 area. We wandered around the area, walking the pier, and having a drink at a few places highly rated here on Trip Advisor and had a wonderful time before having our evening meal at the Pier 500, which was wonderful.

I am rating this a 5*, because in this area it is one of the best hotels, if not the best. I would recommend this hotel when staying in the Stillwater/Hudson area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevator or ice machine.

It was a nice place to stay. It was clean, large and provides your with everything you need. We had a fridge, microwave, king size bed, partial room divider with couch and loveseat. The hot breakfast was great. It was close to the freeway with easy access. The rooms are quiet. We will come back to this hotel again. You have great value for you money when visiting Stillwater and Hudson or traveling thru!

This hotel is relatively new and the rooms are very modern and clean. The rates are exceptional, I stay here once a month for work and its refreshing. The continental breakfast is nice, nothing special but a good way to start the day. The fitness center is exceptional offering two treadmills, a stair climber and free weights.

Let's start with the highlights.

* The hotel is so new that the stairwells still have that paint and drywall mud smell.
* There is plenty of parking.
* The rooms were clean.
* There was a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave in each room.
* There was a thoughtfully designed USB charging station above the desk in the room.

Then we get to the lowlights:

* The staff are never at the front desk. When they appear their response is always, "I was just here. You must have arrived just after I went in the back room." I thought it was just bad timing on my part until I observed the same situation with two other people.
* The staff are only superficially friendly. Do what you're told, when you're told, and you'll never discover this. Ask a simple question about the registration process and you might get to see the other side.
* The pink mystery meat sausage at breakfast is, without doubt, the worst item I've ever had the unfortunate luck to try at a hotel breakfast buffet. My wife couldn't even chew or swallow it; she spit it back out into a napkin. What is it? Turkey? Chicken? Why is it pink? Why would you put something with that unappetizing taste, smell, and look on a hotel buffet?
* The rooms are a suite in marketing name only. If the room is ten feet wide, the "divider" between the beds and the sitting area is three feet wide. According to my dictionary a suite is "a set of rooms designated for one person's or family's use or for a particular purpose." Rooms, plural. This is just one room with an unusual growth coming out of one wall.

Thanks for the review and kind words, ayeti!

Our standard suites are actually 26 feet long by 12 feet wide. Here's a link to a photo gallery that includes a shot of one of our standard suites, for the curious: http://glmg.us/QKAu9r

I believe the breakfast meats you're referring to are our ham patties. We think they're delicious, but as is the case with any food, they may not be for everyone!

Our staff prides itself on customer service and friendliness. We have high standards for our employees, whose goal is to make our guests' stays as pleasurable as possible. As you can see from past reviews, we've upheld that standard.
