Description: In 1845, the first clerk of Washington County built a quaint, one-room cabin in the wooded, rolling hills of the northern Kettle Moraine. Nearly 90 years later, Ray Wolf, an avid horseman, restored the cabin, added a basement bar and opened it to fellow equestrians. It soon became headquarters for many a fox hunt, and so the name, “Fox & Hounds” was a natural when the Wolfs opened their restaurant in 1933. You’re invited to relive your wonderful memories of time spent at the historic Fox & hounds and share new memories with us at The New Fox & Hounds Restaurant & Tavern.

Still looks great as ever, a variety of rustic rooms in a lodge atmosphere. Gorgeous views. Like the others wrote - without BOGO, it's not worth the cost. Lots of cost-saving measures eroded the fine dining ambience. I had seafood Alfredo, the wife grilled salmon - the ingredients did not appear to be fresh (rather than frozen), but were very edible notwithstanding. Fresh bread always great; warm & crusty. Excellent service. $6 for a house Merlot (or other house wines) a bit steep in this economy. Plenty of parking.

We meet some friends at fox and hounds at 530 pm. thank god we made reservation. The drive out to the restaurant was just breath taking. The restaurant was awesome there was a huge burning fire place in almost every room you went in. There was stuffed animals everywhere. We both had rib eyes stake. They were done just right. The waiter was great he took care of us like we were the only ones there. the grasshoppers deserts were to die for. We cant wait to go back.

We met friends on Friday night at the Fox & Hounds, and it was really good! It was my first time, but all three of the others had been before. It's very cozy and a great place to spend a few hours catching up with friends.
It's a little difficult to find if you've never been, so would recommend either going early or with someone who has already been. Would also highly recommend arriving early if you don't want to wait.
We went specifically for the Fish Fry, and weren't at all disappointed. The fish was nice and fresh, and the server was attentive and very good about refilling on the all you can eat.
We walked all the way through the dining rooms on the way out to get the full experience of the place.
The only downside was that they don't accept AMEX, but hardly an issue to complain about.
We will absolutely go again.

We had my parents birthday party hear with 60 of their friends and the private room was a wonderful place to host a party. It was decorated well, the staff was very friendly and always on top of things and with the buy one get one meal deal, the price could not be beat! We had a great time and a wonderful celebration...we will be going back!

We were told after 10 pm that all appetizers were half off. The food was dryed out when we got it. we never got refills and when my husband went to pay the bill they told him the appetizer we ordered was the only one not half off. We would if never choosen that app for the full price of 16.99. The manager said he couldnt do anything about it. This is honestlybthe worst service we ever experienced. Too bad i wasnt doing my mystery shoping here i would of loved to leave my review for them.
