We are from Spain and we know something about beach and sun. Now we live in Izmir so this coast it´s not new for us. But it was our first trip to Chios and we were looking for a quiet place with the sea and the sun as company.
Monolia Masionettes it´s all of this and much more. It´s not only the location but also the apartment, fully equiped and with a modern touch. Really comfy you quickly feel at home.
The view is amazing and the beach it´s only few meters from the apartment.
If you want to have a drink or eat something you just have to walk no more than 200 meters to the near village and you will find two non-expensive restaurants with local ambiance and very good food, and also two bar in front of the sea with relaxing music where you can enjoy a chill beer or a cocktail.
About the staff i have no words to describe how helpful and kind they are. You will meet Maria, Efi ( Elina´s mom - I hope i wrote correctly the name) and Elina.
The welcome was so warn and Efi even made a cake for us ( delicious i have to say).
Also we tried to rent a car but at that time the island was full of tourist due the Bayram holidays, and it was quite impossible for us, but Elina arranged everything and we get a car for two days. Awesome!
So if you´re planning to charge your batteries or disapear from the stressed world for a while Monolia its the place. You will reconnect with yourself and the world.

I have been to Chios last year and when we decided with my family to spend our 3 day holiday in Chios I had immediately called the place we had stayed a year ago as they were a very nice couple and we had enjoyed our stay there.
Unfortunately it was already booked.
So i had started to check other possibilities.
By my luck or whatever you say, the first place i had called was Monolia Maisonnette and it was Elena on the other end of the line.
She was wonderful and very helpful even before we had arrived.
She had given all the details about the room we were going to stay and also was really kind to help us find a rental car before we arrived at Chios.
And when we had arrived Monolia Maisonnette it was beyond our imagination. The room that we were staying called ostria which means warm wind that brings rain was a touch of elegance and cosy place. The room was viewing the Aegean sea and rhe vuew was breathtaking. You feel like you had been left on heaven with blue colour of sky and sea. From up above you can even see the stones inside the sea.
Everything you might need had been thought. The furniture and the bed was comfortable.
And the first thing they did was to offer us a welcome drink of cold beverage.
We had already enjoyed our first day andwe are sure that we'll leave here qith good memories and wonderful hospitality
