The Willow Haven is located off of the "beaten path" except for boaters, fisherman and locals. If you have not been there in the past 18 months, then you haven't experienced it today. The new owners started business here for the opening of the 2012 fishing season. SO IF YOU HAVE READ REVIEWS OLDER THAN THAT, DISREGARD THEM. We have eaten there several times during the past 6 months and have been pleased with each experience. First of all, the service has been wonderful and the staff always friendly and helpful. The food is very good and an excellent value. We have tried everything from a simple hamburger to steak, seafood and, of course, the Friday Fish Fry. We have never, never had a poor meal whether we have just 2 of us or a group of 10. They have a great but smallish salad bar...always fresh. Willow Haven has a full bar with moderately priced drinks. The view from the dining room out over the Willow Flowage is wonderful. Try it, you'll like it!

Went there for breakfast. Thought it would be nice. The Bloody Mary's were the worse
we've ever had. We had four different meals, and all were terrible. One person had Biscuits
and Gravy. The biscuits were hard on the outside and doughy on the inside. They were topped
off with a paste like gravy that had no taste to it whatsoever. The "sausage" were little breakfast
sausages cut up. Biscuits and gravy should be made by using crumbled pork sausage, which
is cooked up in a pan; and the white sauce incorporated in to make a flavorful gravy.
In speaking with other locals, we feel that you'll have to change your ways to make this work!

We have eaten at Willow Haven a number of times over the last 20 years. They went downhill for a while, and eventually closed. They're back and as good as ever. A nice casual place, off the beaten path, with a drop dead gorgeous sunset lakefront view. The food and drink are good supper club fare at reasonable prices.
Willow Haven is fairly convenient for us, and now that we know that they are back, and as good as ever, we will be regulars.

We were recently told the Willow Haven reopened so we wanted to give it a try. We arrived around 6pm on a Monday evening. There was a small bar crowd and a few dining. I was surprised it was not busier as when we called we were told it would be best to make reservations. The bartender muddled us some good old fashions as we contemplated whether we would stay or go elsewhere. We decided to stay...by the time we sat down at the table we were the only customers in the place. Again contemplating leaving and again decided to give it a chance. The view of the flowage was beautiful at dusk We had great undivided attention from our server. The food was exceptionally good. We both had a 6 ounce tenderloin that was done perfectly along with salad bar and a choice of potato. This place in not fancy but a good value with good American food.
