We visited on a Friday night around 6:15p and expected a long wait. Amazingly, we were seated right away. It seemed to get busier once we were leaving around 7:15p. Call ahead as they do take reservations. The fish fry was very good and I thought the service was exceptional. There is a game room downstairs for the kids in case you encounter a wait. Great location on the water and overall, very pleased with this place.

I made a dinner reservation for 4 adults and 2 kids at 7:30 on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. The hubs and I had been there 2 years ago, and he loved the all you can eat prime rib, and I loved the Saturday night salad. We went last year for Friday night fish fry, and it was good, but service was slow. We talked this place up to our friends, but sadly, it didn't measure up.

We were seated right away and ordered our drinks, and waited at least 20 minutes. The drinks were maybe the size of 2 shot glasses, and she couldn't remember which was the gin and tonic and which was the vodka and club soda.

Our salads came before our drinks, and they were nothing like the Saturday Night Salad 2 yrs ago. Serving sizes were all over the place-- my salad was tiny--easily a fourth of the size of the others. And where was the cauliflower, bacon and mixed greens? I had soggy iceberg lettuce with 5 cauliflower florets and a few bacon bits. It was nothing like the salad that I had 2 years ago.

We had to ask for water three times before we got water. They weren't that busy when we arrived, however there was a party at the bar that seemed to take precedence over those of us in the dining room. We ordered soup for the 2 kids, and had to remind the waitress of the soup order.

The prime rib was excellent. However, the wait was way too long, especially when the husbands placed their second order. Our waitress seemed very inexperienced and nervous. She never came around to ask how things were, so we never had a chance to tell her. The hubs' second order of prime rib was brought out by a different waitress.

When we left, our original waitress was sitting outside having a smoke with her coworkers.

Not sure we'll be back......

We stopped in here a couple times during our snowmobile trip last wk. Dana and Pat took great care of us and made us more than our share of vodka "shakeups"--fresh squeezed OJ, vodka and cranberry jc, tastes like summer! Location is great, right on the trails, and they let us park our trailers there for most of the day so we could ride from there rather than our cabin. Half our group wussed out on riding thanks to the cold temps halfway through the day, and LLLL let us hang out at the bar and play cards while we waited for the tough guys in the group to get back from riding in the cold. Cheese curds are awesome, homemade chicken and dumpling soup was delish and perfect after a cold day on the trails. Can't wait to come back in the summer!

We have been coming here for a long time and have never had a bad meal. Staff is very friendly. Fish fry is by far the best in Hayward. You won't be disappointed.

Went for Friday night fish fry. Great option to have fried or broiled. And it's all you can eat! One of us got the all-you-can-eat spaghetti for a nice variety, and both options were fantastic. The owner gets a little crabby if you try to open a bar tab that is under $10, so bring cash!
