We started going to the Hayward KOA when our two daughters were about 6 & 8 years old. Went every year for our 1 week vacation - first we borrowed our parents camper and then we got our own. After the kids grew up, married and had families of their own, they started taking their kids (our grandkids) here on their vacations. About 10 years ago we started joining them for a day or two during their vacations. We don't have a camper but have always stayed in one of the kamping kabins. Next year we're splurging and have booked one of the lodges they recently added.
There is SO much to do at the KOA and it's a great place for kids. They have a water slide, swimming pool, mini golf, game room, playground, horseshoes, volleyball, hay wagon rides, ice cream shop, serve breakfast daily, basketball, bouncing pillow, movies, dances and kareoke, a dog park, canoe and tube rental, ATV access, clean restrooms, individual showers and a laundry. Plus they have a pavillion that has a kitchen set up. The owners are family oriented, helpful and available.
If you have kids they will LOVE this KOA!More
