My second visit to this well established staple in the heart of the Midwest. The atmosphere is a combination of a family get together and a sports pub. Great prices, great service and proportionate did quality. Very fun and wonderful value. Had dinner at the bar on a Friday night and the line never slowed. I recommend the pizza if you like thin crust. Plenty of things to keep the kids busy here too. Fantastic fun.

The Mineshaft knows how to attract crowds who don't mind waiting to take advantage of amazing prices for daily specials. Monday night pizza and a pitcher for around $12. Friday all you can eat Fish Fry for $5.99.....and it's one of the better fish fry's around. The Mineshaft is a down to earth, gigantic two story restaurant on steroids.....which allows them to move throngs of diners threw quite quickly, although we've never been rushed from the table. Delicious cakes and pastries are offered up at buy one and get one free. Check their website for daily dinner and breakfast specials. Young and old kids alike can stay occupied in the extensive gameroom and if you fancy yourself an undiscovered talent....take to the stage on karaoke night. It's not gourmet, but it's serving up generous portions of darn good food, served by friendly and attentive wait staff at bargain prices...Mineshaft hits the sweet spot!

All you can eat fish fry at the Mindshaft restaurant at Hartford, WI. Includes fries and cole slaw. Very good, tasty. Worth the drive. They also had Cod for a higher price.

On our way to set up for a family picnic at Pike Lake State Park Saturday morning, we planned to stop for breakfast beforehand at the Mindshaft Restaurant in downtown Harford. We've always enjoyed our meals there. Arrived about 9:45 am, within their window for their special, buy one get one free breakfast (with 1 beverage each). No one was at the hostess desk when we arrived and we waited about 10 minutes for any one came up to us to seat us. We then waited at our table pretty long before the waitress finally made it to our table to take our orders. Hubby ordered the pancake, sausage, bacon breakfast, son orderrd omelet with the works, hash browns and two 2 pancakes, daughter ordered ham and cheese omelet, hash browns and sourdough toast. I ordered a mushroom, ham and cheese omelet, hash browns and pancakes. Coffee was very watered down, daughter's apple juice tasted more like apply cider. We waited for over 15 minutes for our order to arrive, once we placed it. Our dishes arrived and my hash browns were cold. When the waitress returned with hot hash browns, we all asked for glasses of water. She returned with our water when we were almost done eating. The plates that had the omelets and hash browns on were dripping with grease... Not sure if that grosses us out...but didn't feel like eating the rest of the day.

This was my first time back for Sunday breakfast in almost two years. I was disappointed that they only serve brunch now instead of having a breakfast buffet in the earlier am hours. Not as many items seem made from scratch anymore. It's okay just not great anymore.
