Astor House

The Astor House has a different theme for each room. Ours was The Marseilles Garden. It was a large room beautifully furnished and decorated with views of thier incredible outside garden which was still blooming. I loved the whirlpool tub. Breakfast in bed was served in a large basket. There was a large porch around the house that was very comfortable for sitting and looking out at the garden. They also have a wireless network connection for their guests which works on the porch. The best part was the warm hospitality of the innkeeper and his wife. He was a wealth of knowlege about the area and had maps and restaurant menus. I highly reccommend staying here.

Personal service took on a whole new meaning when we began our stay at Green Bay's ASTOR HOUSE B+B. Unlike many other B+B's, where they leave a key for you in an envelope taped to the door when you arrive after hours, The Innkeepers Robinson, are personally there for you nearly all the time! Astor House is more like staying at a cool little european style hotel, than a simple B+B because they've gone to such lengths to anticipate a visitor's needs...like complete stereo systems and whirlpools in the suites with cute little bottles of wine!

We've stayed there 3-4 times and they are so consistently caring! The breakfasts can be brought to your room! And it's always something with fresh fruit, or a crisp, flaky torte-thing made right there that morning.

We will return to Astor House Bed + Breakfast again and again, because the innkeepers truly care.

We have stayed at the Astor House 3 times and had a wonderful stay each time. The rooms are unique and full of amenities, the beds really comfortable, and the whirlpools great! We love that you can have breakfast brought right up to your room. (Although the dining room is nice too.) Great Coffee! The owners are really nice --helpful if you have any questions about things to do in the area. We brought our bikes one time and there is a great bike path just 5 blocks from the B&B. We also loved walking in the Astor House's historic neigborhood. --They have a walking tour you can take to see wonderful old mansions. I never thought I would want to go to Green Bay Wisconsin for a weekend getaway -but I would to stay at the Astor House.

I've been staying at The Astor House for the past 6 years every time I have the need to stay overnight in Green Bay. I have stayed there when I've been in town for business as well as for a get-away weekend with a group of friends.

As a place to stay when you're in town on business, it's fabulous. Golly, what a refreshing change from a hotel room! The rooms are elegant and beautifully furnished, whirlpool tub, gas fireplaces, mini refrigerator complete with chilled wine and chilled glasses. It's so relaxing after a hard day of traveling and business meetings. I've stayed in nearly every room and each has it's own charm, so I can't pick a favorite. And, if you're traveling with several business associates, you can almost have the place to yourselves.

My husband (he's partial to the Hong Kong Room) and I have also stayed there, and also met friends there for the weekend. We love the chance to relax and get away from our rapid work pace. It's a wonderful place for that romantic getaway - did I say "whirlpool", "fireplace" and "wine"??? The Innkeepers, Greg and Barb are so hospitable and make you feel right at home and welcome.
