“Nice staff; depressing rooms”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

I spent 2 days here while on a business trip. I booked a suite. While the room was large, it was depressing and dated. Dingy old dark purple carpeting and dark purple walls that seemed sad and claustrophobic. Two old recliners in the sitting areas pushed against the wall so you couldn't recline in them. Ancient TVs with bad reception. Spotty WiFi. Cheap toiletries. It felt like they gave up on these rooms 10 years ago.

Breakfast was average. Decent freshly-made omelets, but the rest of the selection was uninspired. Dinner at the restaurant was better. The staff was friendly, though no one really went out of their way to be helpful. Although the stay was not bad, I wouldn't call it good either. Next time I will try another hotel.

From reserving and booking a room, as well as redeeming an online coupon for a free dinner for 2 at the Inn, everything went close to perfect. Though being called for dinner early, they made up for the snafu and served an excellent dinner of our choice to us. Food was great, great bar menu, and the best Bloody Mary's around, with enough garnishments coming close to a meal itself. This was our 2nd stay, and we will be back for more.

We went to Green Bay and stayed at St Brendan's Inn downtown. They gave us a bottle of wine and candy. The downtown area is very nice and there is a lot to do.For breakfast they we had made to order omelets, plus Continental style breakfast included with room. Is fun to walk along the river and look at the metal art work. I love going there.

Room Tip: The lady at the desk is very knowledgeable about the area

My husband and I stayed at St Brendans on Valentines Day weekend. It was a combination my birthday and valentines gift. Our room was very nice. Had dinner at the hotel. Service was very slow but the food was good. In the middle of the night the fire alarms went off and we had to evacuate the building. It was about 3 am in the middle of winter in wisconsin. We had to stand outside for almost 45 mins for the fire department to do their walk through. Here it turns out that a guest on the 2nd floor left the water running and the water overflowed onto the hotels monitoring system. When we finally were allowed to go back to our rooms (we were half frozen by this time) the fire alarms continued to go off periodically throughout the rest of the night. Not a very restfull sleep. I reached out to the hotel about the major inconvenience and never got a single reply. Very disappointing experience and lack of customer service!

I could not recommend this restaurant. We have eaten there twice, once at lunch and once for dinner within the last month. Lunch was OK. The dinner experience was awful. We waited for about 20-25 minutes to get the server to take our order. Then the real wait began. It was an hour before the food arrived. One of the entres was so small it would have been suitable for a young child. The other 3 were very large so there is no way to estimate. We were there at 5:30 PM on a Saturday. I will not return. I was hoping to stay in the inn but these two experiences have made me decide against this.

We had a large group (20) in the restaurant and they could not handle that size group. There were only 2 servers and apparently the cooks could not handle that many orders at once either. We waited 25 minutes for the servers to get our orders and then another 25 minutes before the food began arriving. The food was served in such a inconvenient order that some people had their soup or salad and entree while others had no food at all. Anyone who ordered steak had to wait a long, long time and the fish-eaters were finished with their meals before others got their entree's. What a nightmare. One party did not get her meal at all and when the server offered to re-order it we could not wait since we had a theater event and it was 3 HOURS since we first arrived at the restaurant. The prices were high for somewhat mediocre food.
