“Solid Stay in Green Bay”
Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

Easy to Locate from Highway 41. Clean Room, soft King bed. Within minutes of attractions of Green Bay Packers, Mall nearby, Places to eat and Highway 41 to 172 access. Pool inside with small Patio Outside. This is not a newer building, but seems to be a renovated or converted one of another chain in years past. Check in and out was flawless. Breakfast selection ok, overall a good stay. Would definitely stay here once again.

Hi Sam, and thanks for the nice review. You're right in that the hotel is about 20 years old. Having said that, we are constantly updating and most recently spent several million dollars on an extensive renovation. Looking forward to seeing you next time. Lawry Larson, General Manager.

I think this Hampton Inn is very typical of Hampton Inn - high quality and a nice place to stay. The only word of caution I would give possible guests is to request a room NOT on the side facing the highway. The hotel runs parallel to Hwy 41 - a very busy road - and if you're on that side of the hotel - you can very definitely hear the traffic inside your room. At least I could. Did it keep me awake? No. Do I enjoy waking up and hearing highway traffic first thing? No. I'd actually recommend that they upgrade the quality of the windows on that side to make them more noise proof.

Room Tip: Rooms on the side NOT facing the highway would be quieter.

Hi Mathew and thanks for the review. Just to let you and all Trip Advisor readers know, we spent approximately $50,000.00 in December, 2012 to replace all highway side guest room windows with a sound proof window. These are similar to what you'd find at an airport hotel. The feedback has been excellent. We are in the middle of the Wisconsin construction season so you may have heard some noise from that. This hotel looked a little dated from the outside. The room layout also showed it has been around a while. However, the interior seems to be fresh and clean. The rooms were very clean and seemed to have been remodeled recently. I like that some Hamptons are starting to put mobile device power chargers on the bed side tables. The price was a little high, but the Packers are in Training Camp, so maybet hat caused the price spike.

Hi Brian and thanks for the review. Good catch on the age of the building but we are constantly updating and upgrading. Recently we spent several million dollars on an interior renovation and we are scheduled to paint the outside of the building in the two tone colors this Fall. See you next time. Once you're in the Hampton Inn you're surprised at how quiet the hotel is. Everything is spotless - room, public areas, bathroom. Everything smells fresh and clean. Rooms are beautifully appointed; light is sufficient. Breakfast area is comfortable and "buffet" area is spacious. Staff is accommodating and friendly.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back are on the side of the highway; request room in the front, facing the parking lot.

Hi Pearl and thank you for the nice review. I'm glad that you noticed how quiet the hotel is. We have taken great strides and spent a lot of money to keep it as quiet as possible. Actually, we spent $50,000.00 in December, 2012 to replace all highway side guest room windows with a sound proof window. These are similar to what you'd find at an airport hotel. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing you next time. Lawry Larson, General Manager.

The room was very clean when we arrived and smelled great. There have been rooms where this isn't the case in other hotels unfortunately. The food selection was great. The beds had 4 pillows which was great and the beds were very comfortable :)

It exceeded expectations on every level. We used the pool, fitness facility, and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Each amenity was perfect and the breakfast was delicious!! It's close enough to Lambeau Field but far enough to avoid any traffic. I highly recommend this hotel to any family staying in the area.

The Hampton Inn provided clean and comfortable accommodations to our party of three. We stayed in a room with a king bed and a pullout couch, which was not on the highway side. We did not notice any issues with noise. The linens were clean, the bed very comfortable, and our adult child had no complaints about the mattress on the pullout couch. The wi-fi had no problems. The bathroom was not large, but serviced our needs for an overnight stay. The front desk clerk, Jordan, was very pleasant as we had called five hours prior to arrival to confirm our reservation, and upon our arrival at 10 p.m. he was just was kind. The breakfast had typical fare -- cereal, fruit, muffins, bagels, yogurt, as well as a waffle maker. There was a hot egg/bagel item. Marilyn was the staff member who was super in keeping the area stocked and offering mints upon our departure. What a delightful person she was! Overall, our experience was very good.
