Stayed here 2 days on a business trip. Had a comfortable stay ... the bed/room was comfortable. The hotel had a nice-sized pool. It seemed a little 'dated' compared to other HIX hotels that I have stayed in but overall, it was a great stay. Had a good breakfast with a variety of items. I didn't care for the Fitness Center ... no hand-weights and it is located in a very small room by the pool. It does however, have a sit-down cycle, stairmaster, standing cycle, & treadmill. I was able to exercise but it was cramped quarters ... about the size of a pantry or utility closet. I really was hoping for a few more options but it served the purpose of exercise so it worked. Overall, a comfortable stay for a good price.

We appreciate your comments and input about the fitness room. The equipment that is in our facility is that which has been most requested by our guests. We apologize for not having the free weights, but are glad you had a chance to get a workout in, we know that people are health conscience. We hope you will stay with us again and that you will use the Intercontinental Hotel group for your travel needs..

We decided to do a staycation with a one night stay at this location. The manager on duty, Durwin, was pleasant and helped us get acquainted with the hotel. The room was very clean. We went to the pool area, which was also very clean, but obviously they were experiencing ceiling leaks as by the next morning we saw people working on the roof. The breakfast was amazing with lots of variety including pancakes, omelets, cereals, and much more.

My only complaint is that the walls are paper thin. I can tell you everything about our neighbor's morning including who had juice, who brushed their teeth, and their plans for the day. This was a negative for us wanting to sleep in, but our family of neighbors were early risers.

We were so pleased to find a port in a storm last weekend when the highway leading into Milwaukee was closed due to a winter storm and multi-car pileup that made continuing our trip to Chicago (from Appleton) a foolish idea. Durwin (the front desk clerk -- or perhaps night manager?) was polite, funny, efficient, and very accommodating. Our room was clean and pleasantly furnished, with a spacious desk for our laptop, a comfortable chair and ottoman, nice artwork on the walls, lots of good reading light, and a comfy bed with soft, clean linens. The bathroom was clean and fully operational. We met some other weary travelers the next morning over breakfast, whom we enjoyed chatting with. The breakfast was quite good (biscuits w/sausage gravy, cheese omelettes, bananas, bagels, and really good coffee!). We would have settled anywhere to avoid getting back on the highway, so we were pleasantly surprised that the Holiday Inn in Germantown not only could accommodate us, but offer such a pleasant respite for the night. Thank you, and keep up the good work!

Room Tip: The walls seemed a little thin, and the folks in the next room woke us up at 5:15 a.m. with their cl...

It has all the comforts of home, yet we could say it's better because when staying at this 'home' we have a indoor swimming pool, nice hot breakfast each morning, a USA Today newspaper delivered to our room each week day morning, a clean refreshed room everyday of our stay, The entire hotel is clean with a clean fresh scent ~ From the moment we walk in the door and are greeted by name, check-in is quick and easy, our 'suite' is comfortable, has two TV's one for the kids and one for Nana, Sofa that pulls out into a bed, and two of the most comfortable beds to sleep on, mini refrig and microwave. If there is ever a need, a call to the front desk sends them knocking on the door with need in hand, and asking if there is anything else we may need..I have found Julie to be more than a manager, she is like family not only to many of us that pass through her doors, but her associates, They are all dedicated to please and their kindness speaks highly of their leadership and the example Julie has been. I've seen her very busy yet always takes the time to chat and not be frustrated, She works the whole hotel, it's not unusual to see her moving around, even going to the upper floor to just check that things are going well, she's worked the breakfast bar, folded the laundry, she doesnt just stand around the desk area and make someone else do it, she's out there, hands on! Ive seen her there many times during our stay, no matter the time or day. When they recently done some upgrading, they would let us know when the workers would begin their work of a morning. Julie knows when we are there its so this Nana will have time with her Grandchildren, they too love this place and since they live close by, they will call me and let me know they saw 'our hotel' and want to know when I can come back up to take them there, they also know who Julie is and love chatting it up with her as well. If ever you are in Germantown, this is the place to stop in and stay, and you will find it will be your only choice when revisiting the area, because it's like coming home to family, they are waiting your arrival, Only thing we do dislike, is having to check-out!

What a wonderful review, we are very glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. When guests arrive we do all we can to ensure that their family likes the time they spend with ours. It is returning guests that make our jobs rewarding and fun. It is especially nice when we can develope a relationship with them and have a chance to chat about what is going on with each other. Our employees have commented on how they like to see returning guests, people they enjoy talking with, who appreciate the job they do.

I stayed for night while on business in the area; I can't comment on breakfast or the pool area as time didn't allow me to check them out.

The hotel is convienient to the highway and easy to find, despite what other posters have mentioned; you kind of have to pass through the parking lot of a gas station to access the hotel parking lot, but it is still very easy to find. There is plenty of parking, check-in was fast and the staff seems friendly.

I was "upgraded" to a suite, which really was nothing more than a larger room with a sofa. The room was spacious and relatively clean, but for some reason I was put into an "accesable room", which turned out to be good as I could hang towels on grab bars as the towel rack was broken.

Although television channels were plentiful, the tv may have been the smallest flat screen I have ever seen in a hotel. Beds were a bit soft and worn for my liking, but the entire property has a bit of a worn feeling. There was no closet in the room, so clothes had to be hung in a small armoire kind of thing, so pants couldn't be properly hung as it wasn't tall enough.

Lastly, several posters have commented about the close proximity of restaurants. If you are looking for something better than Wendy's or Taco Bell, you will be driving.

All in all, not a bad place, but I will try somewhere different if ever back in the area.

We would like to thank you for your feedback on your recent stay with us. It is our goal to make every guest comfortable and accommodate their needs. We are sorry that there were certain aspects of your stay that didn't meet that goal. We hope that you will give us another chance to meet your expectations and go beyond, like giving you a list of the local sit down restaurants. There are 5 within 1/4 mile of the hotel or making sure you have a room with a closet instead of the armoire. Again we apologize and hope you will continue to use IHG properties for your lodging needs.

I brought my family with me on a business trip. I was thinking that this would be like all the other hotels that I go to. It was not, The front desk staff is so friendly and willing to help you at all times. Julie the General Manager, was out talking with us at breakfast. She knew so many of the people in the brearkfast area, as though they were all friends. She talked with my kids and talked to them about a number of things.( the pool and going swimming) I am sure that she has kids of her own. My room was very clean and the breakfast was wonderful. I would tell my coworker and family about staying at this hotel. It was Home away from Home.

First time staying at HIE. Recommended by friends and was very pleased with accommodations. We were looking for a moderate type hotel and have no regrets.
The check in process was fast and efficient. Breakfast was fresh and food was keep warmish hot. The king suite consisted of micro and small refrig. plus coffee pot. We will probably stay again. The room was very clean and supplies replenish daily. We enjoyed our 3 day stay while touring Milwaukee. It is easy access to downtown.

Room Tip: Only 2 floors and we were on 2nd flr. Stay away from elevator. A little noisy.
