Review of Homestead Suites

Our home for 7 nights and a great location. Just a short walk to Top of Hill shops and downtown Fish Creek, and across the street from Wild Tomato Restaurant. Had a nice indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. They also have condominiums were we stayed 1 night. All the people at front desk were very nice and helpful. More

Fall in Fish Creek
Visited Door County for the last time this year in hopes of catching some of the Fall colors. We stayed at the Homestead Suites on Main Street in Fish Creek. By and large our stay was nice, the room was spacious and clean, the hot tub in the pool area was wonderful, the continental breakfast was typical of that found in most hotels. Good location.

We felt the front desk person was not welcoming, could have been more personable. She made a big deal about not having our credit card on file even though we had a receipt for the deposit and we offered our card to have on file.

Nice place to get away but in the middle of it all
We booked a suite for our three night stay in Door County for our anniversary. The from the minute we walked in the door the staff was very friendly. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. Our room had a kitchenette and a dining table which was really nice. We were able to eat our complimentary breakfast up in our room. This hotel is centrally located in the county so we found it very easy to get to everything we wanted to visit. All and All a very great hotel. The only negative we had was we booked a suite with a whirlpool tub in our Bathroom, and found it very hard to crawl in and out of the Tub to use the shower and we are only 36 years old. We should have booked a room with a separate shower. Other than that it was great.

Had to cancel
I really want to thank Homestead Stes for allowing us to cancel our reservation, past the time that was allowed, without a single charge. The young man who helped me was so helpful! We will be rescheduling our trip to Fish Creek and definitely plan to stay at Homestead. Thank you!!

Made for a nice getaway
We stayed here for two nights for a mini honeymoon after our wedding. The room was good - spacious, clean and comfortable. The rest of the property was nice as well - cozy without being dated.

We especially appreciated the friendly, helpful staff. We originally booked a three night stay, but realized that we wanted to bump it down to two after the free cancellation deadline had passed. I contacted the property and they didn't even hesitate in granting my request, even though it took money out of their pocket.

The location was a big plus for us as well. It's located right next to the entrance to Peninsula State Park, and walking(ish) distance from Fish Creek's shops and restaurants.

This hotel will definitely be at the top of our list when we come back to Door Co.

Good location for biking
The room was quite nice, but in my opinion a bit pricey. The balcony overlooked an expanse of lawn but was nothing special - maybe there's a better view from other rooms. Breakfast was adequate but again, nothing special. The highlights were the secure bike storage, the pool and hot tub, and the location just outside the entrance to Peninsula State Park. We also liked the restaurants within walking distance. Staff were pleasant and gave me some of their ibuprofen stash when I asked. :-) I would come here again.
