Great setting looking out on the bay, and the trees, and eating area. Not unlike Ravinia, but smaller. Actors all great. Great voices, and stage presence. Nice eveing.

The theater was located in a beautiful setting and the entire production was highly professional. The play (Once A Ponzi Time) was hilarious.

“Comedy”

Peninsula Players usually have Broadway worthy plays, but this one was a little less than par. We'll look for a musical next year.

“Door County Summer Tradition”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

Peninsula Players is the oldest continuously operating summer stock theater in the US. The current theater is state-of-the-art, located in an idyllic setting on the waters of Green Bay. At night the theater grounds are magical. Many of the shows are of the type you might see on Broadway; last summer's presentation of Bob Fosse's "Chicago" was outstanding. Others are plays that showcase lesser known or up & coming playwrights. Each season features 5 or 6 different shows, each of which runs an average of 3 weeks. Most shows are worthy of the admission price but now and then there's a stinker. Word of mouth is the most reliable gauge of the show's quality; if you're a tourist, ask around and people will be happy to tell you whether or not to see the current show. On several Sunday afternoons each season, you can sign up for a free guided tour of the theater, including back stage areas. It's interesting and educational.

“Great theatre in Door County”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

We saw Saloon which we found quite delightful. At first I wasn't sure about this kind of play but at the end it had great meaning "Integrity" most important in our time. The oldest continuing summer playhouse in the US. A must if you are in the area.
