We went to see the lighthouse and found out there was a docent tour for $5. We found it to be well worth the money to hear the history and see the lighthouse that had been restored by the community (it's in the Park but a private group raised the funds and coordinated the restoration). It's fascinating to learn about the history of lighthouses in the area.

We stopped here hoping to take a peek inside not realizing you had to be part of a tour. We had visited state, national and county parks and attractions throughout the UP in Michigan and then into door county. The last thing we wanted to do was pay for more entrance fees (after paying to get into the park). Perhaps a tour through it might have changed my mind but I would not recommend this stop unless you're going inside.

this is an 1800s lighthouse with a storied history and a beautiful view of Green Bay. it still lights at night but not brightly - is somewhat dim. there is a story about one of the keeper's children dying tragically and continuing to return to the lighthouse. interesting.....

Very well preserved and restored lighthouse with lots of interesting personal history about the keepers.

Our guide at the lighthouse was Marilyn and she was EXCELLENT! We stopped here with our Lighthouse tour. Marilyn was very knowledgeable and wonderful with history. The place had a lot of nice items original to the period. We were not able to go up into the lighthouse portion; we would have really enjoyed that. The view is very nice from this place. The restrooms located near this place were awful.
