I guess in a town full of pricey establishments that cater to tourists, it's not surprising that this custard stand on the edge of Peninsula State Park is overpriced. Not Licked Yet -- shouldn't it be Not Yet Licked?!? -- serves up delicious frozen custard ( a kind of richer, creamier, eggier sibling of ice cream) in a wonderful location with a family-fun playground surrounding it. The non-custard food at NLYFC is so-so at best, but the sundaes, malts and such are delicious. We've been stopping there for years. The problem is the sundaes have gotten so darn pricey. $6-8 for a sundae makes ice cream for a family of 4 daunting to the wallet. The other negative is is service. The custard servers have lost their friendly charm and become ho-hum, spacey, bored scoopers. I think going forward we'll pass on the crowded, over-priced custard served by customer-service impaired scoopers and find a friendlier, better value. There are LOTS of choices in Door County.
