“Oh My.. yummy stuff!”

Fresh, mostly locally grown food prepared and presented very well in a lovely hotel. We ate in the patio. I had the stuffed tomato (vegetarian) and it was spectacular. My husband had the pork chop (butchered by the chef himself) and he said it was the best pork chop he'd ever had. Our waiter was delightful and attentive without being annoying.

“Fresh, local ingredients prepared with magic”
Reviewed August 31, 2013

A perfect summer evening with great company deserves the perfect dining experience. Whistling Swan provides all that and more. The menu changes regularly based on the chef's gathering of local food. The duck had a perfect sauce to give it the perfect taste. The vegetarian dish was given the right amount of spice to give the dish great flavor. Placed in a historical setting, this dining experience is worth repeating again and again.

“So So”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

The restaurant and setting are quite nice. The food is good, not great. Our waiter was sub par, when we inquired about menu items, he didn't know, didn't care or was not interested enough to get answers to our questions. The Fluke Taco was presented without the sauce, he did not notice until it was at the table and we pointed it out. Their scallops were browned on only one side, not the mark of attention to detail. In summary top tier prices, for mediocre service and so so food. Perhaps Sunday is the day their second team cooks and their second team waitstaff works. I am puzzled why this place gets such high ratings from previous diners.

“Unbelievable deliciousness”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

We had scallops as our appetizer. They were prepared with cashew paste, mushrooms, radishes, and pod peas. The combination was outstanding. Our entrees were the blackened barramundi and pork chops with orange/chipotle sauce. Again, outstanding. For dessert we had a fruit pandowdy. All of the food was presented beautifully and the flavors were delightful. Our waitress suggested just the right wine for dinner and dessert. The atmosphere was friendly but quiet and we were able to enjoy ourselves tremendously. We will definitely return during our next visit to Door County!

“Best fine-dining option in Fish Creek”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

My partner and I had a very good summer dinner on the (enclosed) porch at Whistling Swan on a visit in July. Excellent, knowledgeable service. Good wine list, tasty preparations. Chic, comfortable ambiance.
