The pizza was amazing! Not just your everyday kinds but a wide range of interesting stuff to choose from. Plus the atmosphere was quaint and the staff was super friendly!

“Good food, cleanliness issue”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

We had a mixed visit to the Wild Tomato. The food was excellent but we had a plate and silverware that were not clean. Our server was apologetic and took care of the issue immediately but the experience left us feeling mixed regarding eating here again.

“Don't miss Wild Tomato”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

One of Door County's most popular pizzerias, local fresh ingredients, wood fired ovens. Awesome fresh specialty breads, great beer selection. Family friedly, not your average pizza place.

“Incredible pizza, hip atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2013

The B&B we stayed at recommended the Wild Tomato when we asked for a casual Italian restaurant. This place is great. When you walk in you see a relatively small room with rugged tables and chairs. There is also a small bar area for about a half dozen people. The room has exposed trusses and is hip but somewhat rustic.

We were lucky enough to get the last table in the place. The menu was interesting. We focused on the pizza...especially since they were busy tossing the dough in the air in the corner of the room. We got the "Fun Guy" pizza, which was 5 types of mushrooms (fun-ghi, get it?), carmelized onion, spinach, and garlic cream cheese. We also got the Deluxe, which was more traditional...sausage, pepperoni, onion, green peppers, etc. Both pizzas were great, but the Fun Guy was really incredible. The crust was light and thin. Mmmmm!

They had about a half dozen micro-brews on draft and also a nice wine list. There was a great selection of wines by the glass...even a barbera, which is not often on the "by the glass" menu in most restaurants.

Two small pizzas were plenty for 3 adults. With 3 drinks (total) our bill came to $60...and worth every penny! If you're in Door County, don't miss it!
