The trails were well marked and gave several options for different ability levels. Beautiful trails!! Temps were cool and over cast, but zero wind.

Peninsula State Park is a wonderful place to visit during any season of the year. Be sure to take sometime to enjoy and relax in the nature of the park while in Door County.

Skiing, both cross country and skate ski, and snowshoeing. I took the Eagle trail on snowshoe out from the campground. Some of the trail went right along the shoreline and I could see the lookout tower, but did not take the tower path, so unclear if it is open in winter to climb up. Eagle trail goes along a cliff wall with a sharp ridge and drop off where a couple of springs bubble out of the ground. The guys said they had a good time skiing.
You buy a annual state park sticker for your car once a year and your are done paying parking at state parks for the year. At this point, buy the second one for your housemate's car at half price, and save some money.
Pit toilets around the park and flushers in the ranger station. I think there is the ADA standard handicapped trail and accessibility is available, but I did not witness it first hand, going straight to the trailhead I wanted.

A truly scenic and peaceful park. We snow shoed through the park and were amazed at the sights of this beautiful park. Nature at it's finest, many traces of animals throughout the hike, amazing vistas and the bay frozen over. All so beautiful!

The park rangers were helpful in getting around and in answering questions about the animals in the park. Definitely worth a repeat trip, or two.
