Peninsula Park offers many activities, hikes, scenic overlooks, and historical site, but we were there just one evening (after having hiked some of the other peninsula parks during the day). We started out at the light house and then drove a short distance away to a pull out where we were the only ones there along the shoreline. The view of the distant islands and the calm near-shore water was picture perfect. An added bonus for us was watching two horned grebes lazily diving near the shore. It was a spectacular sunset - and we have the photos to prove it.
