Overall the entire state park offers much see and do. Hiking, biking and drive around the lakeshore. Daily use fee. Within walking distance of many local hotels. Trails vary in degree of difficulty for hiking and biking.

The park rangers were quite helpful at the visitor center. They recommended some short scenic walks.

The park was quite scenic. there are quite a few trails in and around the park.

There is a lighthouse there and we got lucky and hooked up with a guided tour of the lighthouse. the guide was very informative.

there is a pleasant drive around the periphery of the park. worth taking a slow drive around especially in October.

There were hundreds of people on bikes in the park. very bike friendly.

definitely worth the $10 entry fee.

We drove by the park just before sunset so we only paired $5 for an hour visit. Went to the lighthouse, bluff over look and eagle tower. All are a must in the fall season. Beautiful views.

Peninsula State Park is an awesome park for those who like to bike or hike. This is a well maintained park with clearly marked trails. You can rent bicycles from a place called Edge of the Park right outside the gate. We rented bikes with 7 gears for $7.00 per hour and rode the Sunset Trail through the park. There is a lighthouse along the way that you can tour. We had so much fun riding our first day in Door County, we rented bikes on our last day too. We packed a lunch and ate along the way at Nicolet Bay. The fall colors were spectacular. We hiked a couple of trails while there as well and be sure to climb the Eagle Tower for even better views. The scent of the White Pine trees was wonderful too. You can watch the sunset over Green Bay. Hats off to state parks and to the employees at Edge of the Park bike rentals.

Great park for all types of activities including just driving through, hiking, bicycling, swimming, boating, climbing a tower, discovering caves, golf, etc. If you want to rent a bicycle, get it from Nicolet Bay Concession. I think the bikes are better and less expensive. At the end of the season, they sell all their bikes, boats, etc. and you can get some good deals. If you are at least in average shape, please try the Eagle Trail. It's beautiful. It's mostly wooded, parts of it run by the lake and you'll just love the bluffs which have caves. Be safe. You'll also love the white cedar and birch trees. You may see some small piles of rocks and wonder how they got there. I think they were uprooted by falling large trees. And, please don't forget to see the light house and climb the tower. The shoreline is mostly rocky and the water is clear. I wish I lived close to this park, I would go often!
