We were here for a family breakfast brunch and it was pretty good. The pastry was delicious with the Danish pastry and turnovers. However, I am a fan of biscuits and gravy and those didn't even look good, the gravy wasn't even "pourable". Maybe because there was a crowd, it took a while to fill up the food trays.
Overall, it's not a bad option if you are staying there.

For twice the cost of a pastry from Grandma's Bakery (which is also part of Rowley's Bay Resort) you can get the full buffet which includes smaller sizes of all those pastries. The buffet also included Swedish pancakes with an array of toppings, potato pancakes, sausages/bacon, awesome egg lasagna, and tons of fresh fruit. The atmosphere was very comfortable (even with a 1.5 year old) and service very friendly!

We ate breakfast and dinner here for five days. There are a lot of choices and the food is generally good. Those who like delicious and gooey bakery items will be in seventh heaven. There are always a variety of items which come from the bakery next door. Desserts feature cherries and the Swedish pancakes with cherry filling are outstanding. The fish boil is definitely a must if only for the experience. Sometimes the food was cool, and service was spotty; it was hard to get coffee refills in the morning. Otherwise five stars.

If you plan to attend a fish boil while in Door County, Wisconsin, and have some in your group who are not a fan of eating fish, this is the one you should choose. While the fish boil is occurring, "Mr. Rowley" tells stories about the local history. After the fish boil is completed, the food is served buffet style in the restaurant. There is a full salad bar, lots of side salads, and desserts. The night we were there, the main dishes included beef tips, pork loin, and fried chicken in additional to the fish boil ingredients of potatoes, onions, and fish.

Prime rib was good, but barely warm. The meat/omlette station wasn't set up for 45 minutes after the start time of the buffet. Omlette was very good, lots of fresh veggies to add to it.
Yummy pecan and cinnamon rolls, had to wait over an hour for the swedish pancakes. That is what I wanted too. Nice cherry topping for them- and other toppings too. No ham, but hot turkey with gravy and dressing. Its very good for the price, but there was a lot of waiting for what we wanted. Beautiful view at window seat.
