We love Wagon Trail! Cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen. We also love that there are sinks with hot water to wash dishes. We have a pop-up camper and always reserve one of the larger sites to have extra room for the kids to run around. They have a blast catching toads and frogs and playing at the playground. This is also a very dog-friendly campground. But we've never been annoyed by barking dogs. The location is great for all of the things my family enjoys, including hiking, miniature golf and the beach. There is a fantastic beach for kids just a short distance from the campground. I can sit and enjoy a book while the kids play in the shallow water of Lake Michigan. We've already reserved our spot for next year!

To start off we got engaged!!! But my finance said he couldn't of done it with out the staff at the wagon trail. Before our arrival he called they gave us the most private site they had. And then they helped him find a florist and candy shop. When we got there the site was beautiful, wooded, secluded, and clean. When my finance took me to the lake to do the proposal the staff at the wagon trail waited for the flowers and candy to arrive and then hid them incase I walled into the office. They then went to our campsite (while he was proposing) and put the flowers and chocolates in the trailer. They had a hard time Doing that though bc my finance lowered the awning bc of the rain forgetting they would need to get it. The owner of the campground went and got her husband to come and help them get it. Not only did they put the stuff in there they set it up with one light on them so I would walk in to the perfect setting. They went through so much trouble to provide us the most amazing customer service. Not only was this time amazing but years before this, this campground exceeded every expectation we had and the staff has always been nothing but friendly and accommodating. We have made friends for life and will be back every year to celebrate such a memorable weekend.

Best Wisconsin campground we have ever stayed at. Bakery, small bar, and restaurant within walking distance and discount coupons available. Clean, clean, clean. The bathrooms were perfect and the grounds were well kept. Lots of huge campers along with a few tents. Cabins available. Main attractions a few miles away. Great people in the office. Camp store with ice, eggs, milk, supplies. Laundry too.

Walking trails and dogs welcome. Coffee available in the office every morning.

You can't go wrong spending time here. We booked another week next year.

Room Tip: 500 loop has nice sites.

The campground owners really do a wonderful job keeping the campground clean, manicured and private. We last visited in May, 2012 and rented one of their camping cabins with our dogs. There are a lot of trees between every site and it's like camping in a state park, but better. If you have a camping unit, a prime electric and water site would be wonderful. We have camped there in years past.

It's only a 10 walk to Lake Michigan and all of Door County is just a few minutes drive away. We got up one morning and took the ferry over to Washington Island for the day.

The staff is excellent as well as the cleanliness of the wash rooms.
This is our favorite campground in Wisconsin. Enjoy!

Wagon Trail is a great little campground. The hideaway sites are perfect for anyone who likes a bit more privacy than some of the other public campgrounds that really pack one site on top of another. We always tent on a hideaway site. There are only a few, so make sure to reserve in advance if you want to go that route. The availability of the cabins, yurts, and RV parking in addition to tents makes Wagon Trail an ideal spot for all degrees of "roughing it."

The lodge and restroom/shower facilities are among the best I've seen at a camping location. Really well maintained and clean. The staff at the front desk/shop has been really friendly.

Best of all, the fantastic surroundings of Door County are just minutes away. We like visiting in October when the little villages have their fall festivals. And don't miss going to a fish boil!
