Maybe it was the time of year we went but I have a few "must's" if I am going to a restaurant that charges what Lola's charges. 1) I expect the waitstaff to be more knowledgable. The waitstaff at Lola's seemed awfully young and inexperienced. 2) I would expect a little more extensive wine list. The wines they had weren't terrible and it seemed the markups were actually fairly decent, but there weren't very many good, higher end wines on the list.
I would hope that this place would have better service in the summer months when I assume it is packed. We were there on a recent Friday evening and there were only a few tables occupied. I thought the salads and the main courses were just average and I expected a bit more flavor for the prices we paid.
It was okay, just not what you'd expect from a high end restaurant.
