We had dinner here during a recent stay in this area. From the outside this place didn't stand out. Inside the decor was Northwestern and comfortable. We were seated by the window where you can overlook the river. There is also outside seating on the deck. The ribs were fantastic and worth coming back for. Our server was helpful and prompt. This is a nice place to relax and just enjoy the meal.

Our family of 4 visited on a Wednesday night. We were seated promptly with an awesome window seat overlooking eagle river. The view alone is worth going. It was cool that night otherwise we would have sat out on their beautiful patio next to eagle river. Our waitress was very pleasant, prompt, and very attentive. I had liver, it was excellent. Wife had shrimp that were very good. Daughter had salad that was good, but a little pricey. Friend had ribs that were very good. We had two problems. The baked potatoes were inedible, they agreed and replaced with garlic mashed potatoes. Our friend found a hair in her salad, never a turn on. Overall, I would definitely come back.

We went to the White Spruce tonite, a family of four with teenage sons. I had the prime rib. It was excellent. My wife had the coconut shrimp and described it as "yum". The boys loved their meals as well. The portion sized was perfect. I was stuffed! We sat next to the window overlooking the water. Very nice atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. The only downsides were the dinner rolls were a little hard for my liking and one of my sons had a corn muffin that was overdone. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Another new manager that cannot handle the crowds of Eagle River. Fourth of July week, the Friday, they ran out of food by 9 PM! That is ridiculous. You never know where your waitress goes or if the food is fresh. It is tough to run a restaurant up there but it is possible! We didn't even stay for the food because fish fry wasn't served at lunch om Friday :(

They say this restaurant is located in the oldest log building in Eagle River. It is located picturesquely along the Wisconsin River near downtown. The reviews on it seem mixed when we checked it out, but when ordered the walleye (lightly-breaded) and the baby back ribs (with an apricot glaze) both were absolutely excellent! The ambience is kind of lodge-log with a big stone fireplace in one room and a close-up view of the river from another. Hard to not like. The waitress tried her best to serve our large group, not an easy task but she succeeded. Overall we would recommend this place without reservation!
