We had the opportunity to dine at Wicked Grill 3 times in our 2 trips to Eagle River in August & October. Since we had our dogs with us in August, we walked over from the Edgewater Inn & Cottages at Fritz's recommendation for carry out. The first trip was so good that we went back the second night. I highly recommend their New York strip, chicken, and pan fried walleye. I cannot say enough good things about that walleye. You must also have their cheesecake for dessert. On our second trip in October, it was so nice lounging by the fireplace and at the bar chatting it up with the folks, including the owner. Oh, and we can't forget our bartender. She is quite the mixologist with her martinis and served me some of the tasiest martinis that I have ever had and at very reasonable price. Until we meet again Wicked Grill folks, we wish you the best.

I had the salmon. It was delicious with the butternut squash. I didn't want a potato & I was offered extra squash.

We have been dining at this beautiful, northwoods setting for years, before it was called Wicked Grill. We love the ambiance of the beautiful log building. But, there was just something missing on our recent visit. We were greeted cordially and seated promptly. In years past, the fireplace ablaze in the bar area would have drawn us to sit and have drink while watching dancing flames and the warmth of the fire would have been a welcome start. But, alas, no fire on this cool October evening. Our wait staff (Val) was also cordial, however she when asked to explain a couple of the select beers available, she was unable and did not make any effort to find out for us! So we ordered something we knew rather than try something new, at $4.50/bottle. The menu was very nice; great selection; pricey, but that's OK with if the entire package is great. The pre-dinner hot rolls were warm, but immediately turned chewy belying their microwaved nature. The wait staff did not remember which of us had soup and salad (we were a party of 2, and there were only 4 others eating at the time). I expect wait staff at this price level to know what they are doing and know everything about the menu and drinks of the house. The steaks were actually very tasty with the filet extremely tender, and the ribeye excellent. The sides of mushrooms and fried onions very underwhelming; potatoes just average. In summary, for an establishment at the top end of the price level in northern Wisconsin, we both would have expected more. Again, very good food, but not the total package

Tried the Wicked Grill 2 weeks ago and am back again tonight. Bar area is small, but Katelin instantly made us feel welcome. Her martini and specialty drink list rivals any that I've experienced within the best martini bars in Vegas, New York, and Chicago. If you indulge in red meat, Tom's Wicked Rib Eye is one you can't miss. Tom has created a sauce or marinade with a distinct flavor that makes it irresistable. All of this and set in a northwoods log cabin, rich in history and atmosphere as a dining establishment, yet Tom has brought this place to a whole new level.
