Review of The Flour Sack - CLOSED

The Flour Sack
Cuisines: American
Description: We now have our coffee shop in the front of the store for your enjoyment along with free WI-FI. We serve all espresso drinks both hot and cold along with a selection of freshly baked muffins, turnovers, cookies, scones and more. Our retail store sells gourmet & specialty foods, mixes, baking supplies, cooking utensils, organic & natural foods, and "Everything from Soup to Nuts". The Flour Sack is an attraction besides being a unique retail store and small coffee shop-- it is a fun and interesting place to visit.

Stopped here with ladies on our way to a women's retreat. Small in size and menu choices, but their unique sandwiches made this a treat. Four of us ordered different sandwiches, quartered them and shared so we could each get a taste. The Flour Sack will now become one of our usual stops on our yearly trip to the U.P!

A local person recommended The Flour Sack for our lunch. What a find! From the outside you would think this is just a small store that has lots of speciality food items for sale. Once inside, tucked away in the back of the store is a small coffee shop area. They have very different combinations that make up their sandwiches. The "Thanksgiving" sandwich is served on a cranberry bread, which is really good. A grilled cheese with raspberry preserves and finely chopped onions sounds weird but is wonderful. They also have homemade soups that were very good. We tried this place twice in the short time we were in Eagle River.
