Hubby and I love exploring the state parks. We took the short path to Stephens' Falls. Lovely little area and walk along the stream. There were a lot of other trails and we went a partial way down some. The lake was quite busy with swimmers, canoes, and kayaks. Lovely spot for all!

Spent a weekend here recently camping with 2 other couples. Many very nice wooded sites. Our site, 351 was beautiful, although difficult to back our camper into, and camping pad is on a hill. That said, we truly enjoyed our time there. Stephens Falls is a little treasure. Two good sized lakes. Bathroom/shower facilities were clean, but could use some TLC. But with budget cuts I think they are doing the best they can. Also has dump-station for both left and right side of campers, which is rare.

My wife and I love to camp at Governor Dodge. The two lakes and all the trails make for a great camping experience. Take time to see Stephens Falls and get off the main trails to find some of the caves on the property. Great place for horses as well. The backpacking campsites are nice because you hike in a ways and have some nice quiet campsites. We prefer Cox hollow lake over Twin lake.

Neatly kept camping grounds make this place a family getaway. If you and your family love getting away for the weekend to a quiet place with natural swimming holes, this place is for you. Be sure to pack some marshmallows and enjoy a campfire.

I grew up in the area and can remember when the park was becoming a park. I was a kid and have fond memories of watching things develop. It's a wonderful park with things for everybody to do if you like the outdoors - swimming, hiking, fishing, biking, having a picnic, camping, horseback riding and the list goes on.
