Owner description: Enjoy a day full of experience at Wisconsin’s own Dancing Horses, Animal Gardens. You day begins with The Dancing Horses Theatre presentation of an enchanting NEW performance that is unparalleled anywhere else. From the moment the show opens until the finale, the audiences of all ages sit spellbound, applauding each equine performer and trainer, exclaiming in wonder, chuckling at the humor and even wiping the occasional tear when a moment of connection touches a heartstring. Get up close with the trainers with our newest park feature: the Backstage Tour. During the tour, you are given a demonstration about liberty-style horse training and then you will be invited into the stables to meet the equine performers. Next, as you exit The Dancing Horses Theatre, you enter the 30-minute Exotic Bird Show which follows. Meeting our Exotic Birds is a delightful treat. This performance features several different species of exotic birds that will amaze you with their incredible abilities and antics. Your experience continues with more, a visit to the Baby Animal Barn. The Baby Animal Barn is filled with both domestic and exotic baby animals that children can hold and feed. Our staff is there to answer any questions you may have about our baby animals. In close proximity is an outside petting zoo and several charming rides children will enjoy. You can then take a walk or ride through our Wildlife Exhibit, a natural-setting zoo where you can see animals, many of which are indigenous to Wisconsin. The exhibit culminates in the Deer Park where you can pet and feed white tail deer. You can experience a tractor-pulled wagon ride though the park, where larger animals are available for viewing. You won’t want to miss the train ride though our Indian Village; complete with teepees, Native American art, and oral history lesson about the area’s indigenous people. With the two stunning performances, The Dancing Horses and the Exotic Bird Show, and our animal attractions, this will be a day you will not soon forget and will want to share with everyone.

We are from Wisconsin, but we hadn't visited the Dancing Horses Dinner Theater. We didn't have the dinner theater experience, but we did see the horse show and the bird show. If anyone is curious about what happens, here it is: the show is primarily a choreographed horse show featuring several of the Arabian horses owned by the farm, and they are dressed in sparkling bridles and flashy headgear. But there are circus act elements added, including aerial acts, which are always fun to see. And there is a kind of Powerpoint going on a small screen at the back of the theater (completely not necessary, in my opinion). The horses are beautiful and watching them dance and interact with the trainers and audience is breathtaking. (That's why we don't need the Powerpoint.)

Little kids will love the free pony rides in the theater before the show begins and all the pretty horses. There are three seating options. If you sit along the sides, the horses will interact with you and, even though you can't touch them, you'll get very up close. Photography is allowed throughout the show. The ring is small enough that there are only 7 rows of seats: 2 rows per side and 3 in the center.

The bird show is demonstration of all the things that parrots and macaws can do, and they too are amazing. Their plumage alone is worth seeing, but it's great to see how they can be trained.

There are goats at the petting zoo and a baby animal barn, too.

Something for all ages!

We have been at this show twice in about 1 1/2 months. First trip was my wife and I, and we knew we had to bring our grandchildren back. There are no bad seats, and with our grandchildren, we were seated in the first row, very close to the horses. The show and music are very appropriate, and our grandchildren enjoyed it. They also enjoyed the bird show, and were talking about both the horse show and bird show the next day. This is a good day trip from Milwaukee, Madison, or even Green Bay area.

Just went there on a Monday. It is actually part of the Animal Gardens, where kids can enjoy petting animals like goat, sheep, rabbit, donkeys etc. There is also train ride and wagon ride to see other animals such as horses and deer, fox, etc. Kids will find enough animal to watch and interact with.

Staff there were friendly and helpful. They will invite kids to touch the small animals. Prior to the dancing horse show there were camel ride and pony ride inside the theater, when we were waiting for the pony ride, the camel seemed to be not happy and jumped a bit, that surely frightens the young girl on the camel back, but I also see the trainers quickly calmed down the camel, let the girl safely get off, and pulled the already-back-to-normal camel away (therefore canceled the camel ride), at the same time the pony trainer halt the pony until the camel has left. Through this I see the stuff there are very responsive and experienced, they are very cautious about the safety.

For the show, it was wonderful. Beautiful horses! They could really dance! The theater is not big, good for seeing these wonderful creatures up and close. Not to be missed if you love horses (who does not?). Excellent trainer and actor/actress. The show is about 1.5 hour long, about ten programs. I would say only two of these programs are not so interesting, and the opening video show (3 minutes, 5 minutes?) is a bit long for exciting audiences. All other program in the show are excellent.

There were also bird show, boat rides etc. Our kids are young and tired so we missed those and left early, otherwise one family can surly spend a whole day there until sunset.
