This is a pub, not a restaurant. They might offer a few nibbles ... we weren't here for food.
We stopped in at about ten on Wednesday night solely because it's karaoke night. It's a few blocks from the college, which explains why the crowd was very young. Some were like 5-year-olds in fact, thinking it was cute to subject the rest of us to songs with pornographic lyrics.
Wednesday night the special is two for one well drinks. Not so for the wine. And there's minimal wine selection. You can choose from whites: Sutter Home Moscato, Riesling, or White Zinfandel. Or you can choose a mystery merlot. Thankfully the merlot was drinkable.
The bar stocks both Jose Cuervo and Patron tequilas, so that's a plus. The bartender was friendly, and prices are ridiculously reasonable. A shot of Jose, a glass of merlot, and two-fer brandy old fashioned sweets totalled $10.50. You can have a shot of Patron for $5.
We didn't ask about food because the karaoke here was just too painful for us to stay. Lots of excessive noise and no music to speak of. The later it got, the more bizarre the crowd, so we paid our tab and left at midnight.
Transgenders are welcome here, at least on Wednesday nights. Two pool tables and a dart board are available for entertainment. Thanks, but no thanks. We wouldn't go back.
