Banasura hill resort is in one of the most beautiful location, located just in front of the mountains and mountains are covered with clouds, as soon as you enter the resort you feel like you are in different world. Nature trails around the resort which leads to waterfalls was so good and the view during the walk on nature trails was really nice, be careful in some slippery paths during the walk. we went for walk couple of KMs in evening and then went for same in the morning and it is pure nature which stays in memory for a long time. we planned to see the places in wayanad, but after going to this resort we felt like resort itself has so many places to see so we spend our day in resort and nature trail walking.

Service is very good and staff was helpful. Food was good, it could be better but not bad. road from parking lot to resort could be little better, we thought it was not drivable and we parked the car and walked but it was drivable actually. Walk inside resort is just beautiful. Most of the rooms are doesn't have much of the view, but if you just come out and spend time outside then you are treated with awesome views and you will not go back to room except for sleep.

Two families in a rugged offroad SUV vehicle, reached the Resort in 6 hours of beautiful drive (only about 20Kms drive out of the actual (one way) 320 Kms journey was bad). Were immediately captivated by the awesome view right at the entrance to the resort. Its an amazing place jo unwind, relax and just chill out. Had many spots on our itenary to visit, but instead ended up enjoying at the resort only! :) Food was good (being a vegetarian I don't get much choices anyways) and the service/staff were Excellent! Had taken a twin cottage and got two beautifully maintained rooms! Trekking upto the waterfall and having a swim around, plus visiting the caves a few meters from the falls were accomplished on the first day. Next day went downhill through the tea gardens to the beautiful stream within the property. Visitors should be aware that due rainy season, leech's are abundant! Always had one of the (excellent) staff accompanying us for the treks with their own first aid box :) Got to know at the time of checkout that they also organize day trips to the Dam nearby! Got a complimentary spa session for all 4 adults which I found to be just about OK. Overall t'was a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Would like to request the management to post some prominent signboards on the way as that will be of great help to folks driving in.
Only one thing irked us a wee bit. As our accommodation was next to the natural pond, it did smell bad sometimes while getting to the other side :(

Room Tip: Twin Villa's are good for 2 families traveling together, though for couples I would suggest the choice of Log Huts or Suites as they are almost perched atop the natural pond which is terribly romantic in evenings :)

We were a family of 4 from Chennai. We stayed from the 5th of June 2013 to 8th of June 2013.The manager at front office was very helpful in giving us the direction from the time we left mysore. Ambiance was great, From the time we reached till we left we were treated very courteously. The view from our room was just great.Seeing the clouds play cat and mouse game with the mountain is to be experienced.
Service at the restaurant was commendable As the occupancy was less we did not have a buffet, but the service to our table was very convenient.Every day the menu changed, the chef also made special dishes on request. At lunch it was traditional south indian while at dinner it was continental, the spread was v.good.
The rooms are very very spacious well done up to suit the surroundings and clean.
The trip to the water falls, stream, dam and rafting at kabini river are a memorable ones.
Thanks to one and all at the resort for making our stay a memorable one.

Thanks to Ms Swapna Nair their manager. Maintain these standards and you will reach great heights.
Was very disappointed with the service provided at the spa.It has to go a long way in improving the service at the spa. My advice keep away from the spa.
