This was a stop on our way home from a vacation with some friends and it was awesome!! Our tour guide (Katie) was super friendly and definitely knew her stuff. The tasting was fabulous (and I don't even like beer!)! I have recommended stopping here to other friends who were in the area.

This was my father's idea and it ended up being a great one. Leinenkugel is the 7th oldest brewery in the US and the 4th largest craft brewer.
You start at the Leine Lodge which is a beer tasting and gift shop building. For $1 you are given a wristband and wooden nickel that you use at the tasting area for 5 free beer samples (proably about 7-8 ounces each). When you are done you get to keep the glass.

The tour was free and excellent. our guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The Brewery has been around since 1867 and is fun to walk through and learn the process they use to brew the beers. You are allowed to take pictures outside the brewery, but not once you go inside.

All in all this was a very fun afternoon. When the tour ends you end up back at the Leine Lodge where you can continue to drink samples if you would like.

A free tour and $1 for 5 beer samples is really hard to beat.

Local history about the family and beer's origin. They have grown over the years with some same familiar beers and introducing new and seasonal beers all the time. Sample the beers for a dollar and choose your favorite. You get to keep your sampler glass. Come often and have a collection of glasses!!

Tour this small brewery, stop at their lodge and get a Leinie's glass for $1.00 and treat yourself to five glasses of free beer. While drinking your beer, you can shop for clothes, hats, glassware, etc. Leinenkugel Brewery is definitely a "destination" stop!

Be sure to call ahead if you want to tour at a certain time as the tours fill up quickly on the weekends.

Looked forward to our visit and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed the $1 beer sampling (5 varieties) and souvenir glass. The tour was very informative. We especially enjoyed the history displayed at various places inside the lodge. Definitely worth your time! (Call ahead to schedule your tour time if stopping during UWEC Parents weekend or Octoberfest.)
