We have typically enjoyed Gilligan's over the years as we boated in or drove to it. We have looked forward to going. The outdoor tiki bar is usually a fun place to be and see what's happening in Chetek. The inside bar area really needs some rehab. The all-you-can eat fried fish was really good on Friday night. We had ordered the "treasure chest" appetizer for 4 adults and two kids for $14.95? Do not be fooled. It is not a treasure chest of appetizers and is far from it. It was just plain skimpy. This is coming from someone who enjoys food, but also portion control. The appetizer was disappointing. I think also Gilligan's is trying to make up business by pushing drinks. I have never actually been annoyed to this point by the server asking if we would like more drinks (beer). I was this time. She was a great server except the first words of every sentence seemed to be "can I get you a refill?" and even asked someone else at the table if she could fill the drinks for the those of us that left for the salad bar. We will probably go back and hope for a better visit next time. I hope that Gilligan's addresses some of these points soon!
