We recently travelled to Cedarburg, WI to visit family and stayed at the Washington House Inn. It was fabulous! The room was very clean. The shower had great pressure and the water heated up so fast! The towels and robes were incredibly thick and soft. I enjoyed going down to the sauna on one of the evenings we were there and then returning to my room for a warm shower before retiring for the evening. The Inn serves an incredible breakfast each morning with a surprising variety of food. Other than a hard-boiled egg, I never ate the same thing twice during each of the three mornings we were there. The Inn also has a social hour in the evening with complimentary cheese, crackers and local wines. It was so relaxing each night. And, you cannot beat the location -- downtown Cedarburg! We walked to everything and enjoyed all the quaint shops, coffee houses and restaurants. It's also super close to downtown Milwaukee if you want to drive into the city and take in some museums. I miss the Washington House Inn already and want to go back soon!

We have been coming to the Washington House for over 15 Years and always look forward to our stay. comfortable, clean, charming and welcoming every time! We love the wine and cheese tasting for happy hour, even serving gluten free crackers, serving wine from a local winery. They do a great job for morning breakfast, you can eat healthy or sassy great options for your needs. The inn is right in the middle of charming shops or near a great park for strolls and sight seeing around town. We tell all our friends how wonderful the Washington House is!

We booked with Washington House at the last minute so room options were limited. We ended up in a very cozy room in the main building. It did have a steam shower which was very neat, but Sue did not like the "rainfall" shower. Their wine tasting in the evening was great and gave us some ideas on wines to buy from the local winery. Breakfast was good but would have been made great by having some kind of meat...sausage or bacon perhaps.
the room, though strangely laid out was very clean...as Innkeepers we see everything.
Put this one on yourr list if you are considering a visit to Cedarburg.

A VERY nice get away. Our bridge group stays here every November for a long weekend. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and unique. In the shoulder seasons, the rooms can get a little hot if the weather is warm.

Staff is great and accommodating. The breakfasts can't be beat.
The evening wine and cheese (and other snacks) is very nice and features wine from the local winery just up the stree.

Room Tip: There is something for everyone. When booking, tell the staff what you are looking for and take thei...

We love staying at the Washington Inn. It allows us to walk out the door and walk to restaurants, shops, etc. The morning breakfast is a delight with so many interesting bakery items. In addition, there is a hot item (one morning it was an egg casserole, the next morning was scrambled eggs and bacon.) Of course there are the other usual items and fantastic granola. From 5 to 6 in the evening wine from the local winery is offered as well as crackers, a variety of cheese spreads and fruit. We enjoyed this tremendously and it was so obvious that other guests did too. When it is time to call it a night you will enjoy the bed sheets...the most comfortable sheets I have ever slept in. The Inn has a card which they will stamp for each night you stay. After five nights, the card can be applied to another night's stay (value of the card is $135). The atmosphere is so delightful too...like a step back in time. And Cedarburg is a great place to visit. We will definitely be back!!!

Room Tip: If you stay during the summer, I suggest the Schroeder House, which is part of the Washington Inn...

This was our 5th or 6th stay at WH Inn. We've tried the full spectrum of rooms and found each to a good and unique experience. The staff is laid back but always accommodating and generous with it's helpful information.. The breakfasts are superb, the wine and cheese tasting intimate and the service personal friendly, efficient and unobtrusive.WH Inn is the perfect place for us to just relax - a home away from home without the weight of responsibilities. We keep coming back (for good reason)
