From modern to antique, the settlement has many stores for all tastes in food, products, clothing and wine. If you are looking for unique pottery, accessories, artwork and more, you can usually find something here.

A variety of gift shops in an old woolen mill. Great crepes at the Crepe Restaurant. Also wine tasting. The artist studios weren't open on the third floor when we were there. I bought gifts in the nice pottery shop.

If you are into small shops, good food & great wine; then this is the place to go! The winery tour is awesome and it only cost $3/person and you get to taste about 4-6 different wines that they make and the take you through the old way and the new ways that the wines are made; from picking the grapes to bottling. The people are friendly and the whole town is very family friendly. The shops in the settlement have some unique items at great deals!

While driving back from Kohler, we stopped in for a break from bad weather. It was worth the extra driving, and ended up being the highlight of the trip for us. Great shops with character, unique offerings, and not at all like your typical tourist mall you find in other cities. Be sure to marvel at the miniture shop Newberry Thicket. Such a fantastic tribute to a lost artform!
