Didn't drink but from what I hear great beer. It was a Saturday night and a little crowded, but they had live music. Very tasteful.

Now I can tell you that they serve the best sangria during the festivals; but I can now say that it has become another one of my favorites in Cedarburg.
Picture it........It was a Friday; Valentine's Day
Now everyone knows that Friday in Wisconsin usually means fish fry...ugh! Sorry guys, I'm not a fan of fried anything.
We tried our other favorite place only to find that it was over an hour wait. We walked down the block and thought we would try this place as we have never been there for dinner.
We ordered the Stuffed Portabella and the Black and Bleu the Cow Goes Moo. Never had fondue, but was pleasantly surprised! Service was excellent from the entire staff and the owner himself. It is a small quaint place perfect for unwinding and savoring your food and drink and engage on conversation.
What started as a Friday quest for a non-fish fry place turned out to be a date nite for us.
You're never too old to hold hands with your Valentine of 34 years and share fondue. Thanks guys!

Much better then the Melting Pot- the last fondue place I went to years ago!

My husband and I went here on a Saturday night. We made reservations a few hours ahead since there are only a few tables. Loved the atmosphere, especially the little lounge area off the bar. The place is small but the make could use of it.

We ordered the Ziggy Ziggy cheese fondue which was very good. Served with the perfect amount of bread, crackers and a few celery sticks. Actually, the crackers probably weren't even necessary. I last had cheese fondue in Switzerland and although this wasn't quite as good it came close :)

For the entree we ordered the August by the Sea fondue which comes with steak, chicken, ahi tuna, lobster and veggies (broccoli and mushrooms). Steak was very tough and grizzly, no matter how we cooked it and unfortunately the blue cheese sauce that came with it seemed very watery. The rest was very good- next time I would get the seafood fondue or switch out the steak for the salmon (I heard a nearby table do this).

Leave room for the dessert fondues! We ordered the Carmel Butterfinger one which was amazing. The presentation of fresh fruit that comes with it is beautiful and delicious.

Next time I would skip the entree fondue and just do tapas and appetizer fondue- there are plenty of great dishes to try.

The manger/owner Jake gets drunk with friends and will not give any discounts, even when the food is cold or the wrong order comes to you after an hour wait. Don't go.

With that being said we try to create a fun a and friendly environment that is relaxing and enjoyable to our patrons. However, we also would like to keep our guests safe. August Weber Haus in downtown Cedarburg is quaint, historical, romantic, and has amazing food. It is very small (only 5 tables with built in fondue heating elements). Nice wine list that is updated frequently. Artisnal cheese plates that are updated frequently also. My favorite meal is the "August goes to Sea". It is plenty of food for 2 people to share. We are never able to finish it all. It consists of cut up pieces of raw lobster tail, beef tenderloin, chicken breast, and ahi tuna. It is served with a pot of spices that you heat on your built in heating element in you table. It is also served with 4 sauces. Melted butter for the lobster, wine / blue cheese sauce for the tenderloin, honey mustard for the chicken and a wasabi soy for the ahi tuna. It is fun to dunk your bites of food into the boiling spices to cook them. Love this place. Romantic, historical, different, and delicious.
