After having a bad experience at Garmisch Restaurant, we went down the road to the Rookery. We explained my grandchildren's peanut/nut allergies to the waitress who could not have been more helpful. In contrast with the Garmisch waitress who just told us to go elsewhere, this woman talked to the chef, informed my daughter as to how things were made, and even brought a cracker box to the table so my daughter could check the ingredients. We had some outstanding dishes, including the macaroni and cheese that the chef whipped up for my grandchildren. In fact, we went back twice in the same week. Great place run by great people.
