This was our second trip to Inn Serendipity, and we're already talking about trying to find the time to go back. As the other reviews indicate, this place is equal parts bed & breakfast, family farm, and ecological project. Lisa Kivirist & John Ivanko successfully completed the process of making their home energetically self-sufficient a few years ago, but they've continued to make improvements to the property and come up with new ways to live sustainably. But even if that weren't the case, we'd treasure Inn Serendipity as a quiet place to take it easy for awhile, surrounded by hills full of wildlife... and enjoy perhaps the best breakfasts we've ever had, full of locally grown ingredients. Lisa and John (along with their son Liam) are hosts in the true sense of the word, and are always available for snacks, tours, or conversation.
Overall, this is a gloriously relaxing getaway that happens to also be an eco-conscious vacation choice - highly recommended.More
