All in all, pretty decent. If you go during a peak period the sound level is very high. The signature product is a thin crust pizza that is done correctly.

We have ordered takeout from here many times over the years (Ive never been in the actual dining area ).

Food is awesome. We always get pizza - its thin & crispy, sausage has a little kick. An order of meat lasagna (Ive tried the spinach version and it's yummy too). The lasagna is not for the lactose intolerant - the cheese is thick. And we always order extra garlic bread - it's dripping in salty butter. Chewy and crispy at the same time.

Also, the guys who work the takeout counter are great. If there is an occasional mistake, they always make it right.

Bottom line - this place is one of our Friday night "go to" places.

First things first, let's get past the comments on this site about how calorie laden the food at Mama Mia's is. Obviously; it's garlic bread and pizza, not unlike having popcorn at the movie theater. Everything in moderation, right? That being said, if you're fixing for garlic bread and pizza, this is the place to come. The garlic bread keeps you busy while you're waiting for your pizza, and you could probably make a meal of it all by itself. The pizza is laden with cheese, and the slices are cut all the way through (hooray!) eliminating the problem of having to saw through tableside and leaving half of your cheese on the adjacent slice or the pan. If you're around here mid-day, their lunch buffet is a feast. I suggest checking what days it is available as I have only been there for lunch on weekdays.,

Had dinner last night (3/26/2014) for my son's 20th birthday celebration. Party of six, slapped with an automatic 20% gratuity. Waitress was not even worth 5%. I work in the food business so I am tolerant in most situations. Waitress was pleasant but lacked sense of urgency and was far from efficient. The restaurant was not busy. Salad came out dressed when asked specifically to have dressing on the side due to dietary restrictions. Two waitresses and a hostess who stood leaning on her podium. I have not been there in several years and would definately never go back or recommend to anyone. On the way out the hostess was unable to provide any customer service recovery and could not process the fact that I wanted to speak with a manager. Staff needs customer service training, basic service training and teambuilding. Horrible!

Our first dates usually ended up at Mama Mia's on Burleigh, just east of Hyw. 100. Pizza was a must as it was/is the best, very authentic Italian. We graduated to spaghetti and fell in love! I've always loved garlic bread and this was the best and became my favorite. Yes, it is saturated w/butter and just the right amt. of garlic, so eat slowly and savor the flavor. Our youngest son swears by the lasagna. Now, 40 +years later, we visit the Brookfield restaurant for the same favorites and same flavors. But they've added a lunch buffet: asst. pizza, pasta, soup & salad bar and you may request a bowl of spaghetti pasta w/ your choice of marinara or meat sauce. Excellent. Very friendly staff, makes the visit relaxing.....like every meal should be!!! As with any business, things can go wrong. Let the server/hostess know the problem. Lack of something being served that was ordered or prepared not to your liking keeps businesses on their toes. They know better than anyone that the public has choices and there are plenty of places willing to take our money! One more thing, don't take it out on the server.....if they gave great service, that is what the tip is for!
