Description: Closed until December 19th We are Sue & Dick Govier, owners of Aqualand Ale House. Our philosophy is the power of the little guys - the dreamers and a celebration of fine craftsmanship come together at the Aqualand Ale House. Boulder Junction has ever been a town of independent spirit, a place where the quality of life begins to settle, The beauty of the natural world, its gifts and challenges all draw and keep people coming back to visit again and again. At the Aqualand Ale House, we endeavor to feature the tastiest and best of select artisan crafts. Enjoy up to 20 taps of craft beer, select wine, soda and port - gathered from Wisconsin, the Midwest and further for your sampling enjoyment along with appetizers or as compliment to your casual, comfortable dining." #iamboulderjunction

My favorite place to eat in Boulder Junction. My husband is a beer lover and their offerings did not disappoint, you can get different sized samplers served in wooden cut out fish shapes. The menu is awesome with different specials each day not on the regular menu.

Aqualand opened in a former deli. The restaurant itself looks great, interior and exterior. The kitchen is small so the menu is limited - mainly sandwiches and individual pizzas - but everything we've had there is excellent! Prices are very reasonable. A great place to do beer tasting because they have a changable (and changing) list of 30 beers on tap and you can select the ones you want for your flight. They also have a number of bottled beers available - I don't know how many because I've always been too intrigued with the draft list. Seating area is not huge but seems adequate - very comfortable. We go there fairly often.

Aqualand of my youth is back - not as a wildlife park, but as a gastropub...that is, a place for beer and wine and exciting cuisine. Susie Wilsie Govier, daughter of Bruce and Jodi, former owners of the park, now joined by hubby Dick Govier, have added historical nuances to their pub on the west edge of Boulder Junction. Arts and crafts style building with warm fireplace, fun music, and creative lighting provides a casual atmosphere for inventive menu offerings, washed down with cold glasses of craft and micro-brew beer and select wines. Sue and Dick are doing a great job and are working out the little kinks that anyone must do in their first year of business, but I can easily give a enthusiastic thumbs up for Aqualand Ale House.

Family of foodies from Twin Cities & Madison with a cabin nearby, and we're always looking for a go-to place. Aqualand is IT!

Parking- check! Beautiful exterior- check! Beautiful interior- check! Clean & expansive bathrooms- check! Best micro-brew list in the area (including Minocqua/Eagle River). Very fair portions & prices. A very attentive staff, good with kids.

Menu is a breath of fresh air for the Northwoods: panini's, multiple salad choices of the non-iceberg variety, and original appetizers. Great not to see a deep-fat fried-centric menu, although a couple folks wished for a Friday fish fry. Broiled cod sandwich was tasty, could've used a little seasoning. Nephew didn't love his pizza due to lack of sauce. But, overall a great respite from the glut of Northwoods bar food! We will be back!

Can live without the deep fryer, but hope they expand their craft beers/sodas to the great craft distilleries of WI, IL, and MN!
