When we travel we tend not to eat at chains it's kind of a rule not to eat anything we can get in our hometown, and this place is like a good old fashioned family eatery. The service was very friendly nothing pretentious. We tried the all you can eat buffet on a Friday night it had some really great breaded cod it didn't need an ounce of salt, very flavorful! Along with the cod there was, smelt, frogleg ( I almost tried but just couldn't) perch, crabcakes, clams and more. For meat-eaters there was some juicy brosted chicken, tender roast beef, ham, ribs etc. Typical salad bar, 3 kind of soups, cakes and fruit. The one thing that could have been better were the mashed potatos they were instant. Servers were attentive and it didn't seem to matter whos table they worked together. We sat near the kitchen and could hear many other orders not just for the buffet a lot of breakfast orders. We are generally good tippers, but this is the biggest tip we left for a buffet service was great! Would go back for sure!
