Certificate of Excellence

We celebrated a 60th surprise birthday here with friends. This is truly an exceptional place. The Inn is beautifully situated on top of a bluff overlooking Parfi,s Glen and Lake Wisconsin. Every detail in every room is perfectly crafted. The Inn keepers are warm, welcoming and ensure the comfort of the guests. The breakfast is delicious. The grounds have trails for a walk in the woods. Each room is different and beautifully appointed. The owners do a wine and cheese spread and stay to chat. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a magical stay unlike any other. It is worth every penny!

If you're looking for high end quality, you've found it. If you're looking for value, you've found it. If you're looking for the quaint-ness of a B&B without feeling smothered, you've found it. The rooms are spread out in a spacious, beautiful, modern lodge so you're not on top of each other. The owners live in an adjacent home, so again, you have "space." The owners do just the right amount of engaging without driving you nuts. It's an incredible balance. The evening reception in the bar is very warm and fun, the breakfast is nothing short of gourmet, and when you toss in the massage chair, hiking trails, and common areas to sprawl out and relax, it's a greater value than a "cheap" B&B. WARNING: After being spoiled at the Inn at Wawanissee Point, you'll have a hard time going to any other B&B's!

We already had relatively high expectations, given the praise this inn has received on this site, but even so, we were blown away! The view is absolutely breathtaking and immediately calming. The inn is beautiful, with much attention to detail. Trudy is a gracious hostess who thinks of everything in offering her guests an amazing and memorable stay. We have stayed at other B and B's that were really very nice, but this experience was simply incomparable. The Baraboo area is especially beautiful in autumn, and the inn's private hiking trails were a joy to walk on. The trails are not particularly steep so can be enjoyed by most people, and because they are private, we did not have to worry about running into a school group!

Each morning, Trudy offers a delicious and creative breakfast at tables overlooking the lovely view of Lake Wisconsin in the distance. Each evening, there is a wine and cheese hour where the guests can socialize a bit while enjoying the ambience of the inn's bar, again looking out at that magnificent view. It was during this hour that we heard about a nearby supper club, Ishnala, that we would never have found on our own, and this gave us another great experience on our second day.

I just cannot say enough about this beautiful place and look forward to a return visit.

We stayed at the Inn for our 1st Anniversary after receiving a gift certificate as a wedding gift. Thank goodness we did, because it was absolutely amazing. We had never stayed at a B&B before and were a little weary as to what to expect, but Trudy and Dave made us feel right at home and made the experience better than we could have dreamt. The view, the hospitality, and the food helped make our first anniversary one we will never forget. We plan to return annually for our anniversary! Thank you both for such an amazing weekend! We will be back!

I titled my review "Encore", because that is precisely what it was.
We returned to the Inn for another delightful weekend of R&R.
David and Trudy are wonderful hosts and they run a great B&B. Terrific breakfast, wine and cheese in the afternoon and chocolate truffles on your pillow. What more could you want?

This beautiful place was recommended by a relative. She insisted we would love it even though we never stay in B and Bs. She was right. Trudy and Dave were very welcoming. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Bird's Nest. We loved it and the view was beautiful. The shower is divine! The gourmet breakfasts are delicious and you will love Trudy's creativity. The afternoon wine and cheese gatherings are relaxed and Dave is a great host. Trudy makes great treats to go with the special local wines that Dave will help you choose. We made a trip to the winery and had a case shipped to our home. We highly recommend staying here. We are going back in September and will stay for a few days in the Tepee. It has a large balcony. Can't wait!

It was our first visit, but it won't be the last. From our arrival to the day we left, Dave and Trudy made our stay special. The property was amazing, the breakfasts delicious and our room was very nice. We enjoyed our private deck, too.
