This quaint second floor, assessable by elevator, restaurant was a real pleasant, enjoyable, reasonably priced stop for lunch. After my husband and I spent the morning enjoying a walk along the Baraboo River, this was our choice for lunch. When we go on our day trips and visit a town/city for a repeat visit we always choose a new restaurant. The décor of the café is delightful, the staff friendly almost like having lunch at an elderly aunt or grandmother’s home that is how relaxing the atmosphere and inviting the Garden Party Café is. The food is delicious, fresh, very well presented and never a rush. We arrived at 11:30 am on a week day and by 12:15 pm the lunch “crowd” was being served. The café overlooks the Baraboo historic square. Although there is an elevator we decided to take the stairs, if I recall there are 22 of them. This is a definite must eat at café, you will not regret it.
