Owner description: Devil's Lake has great hiking trails.

This place is awesome! You can hike around the whole lake in about 4 hours...lake scenery from the hilltops on both sides makes the hike worth every minute of it. One area really steep going down, but it can be avoided if you have bad knees. Lake activities are in abundance as well...picnics, kayaks, swimming, rentals, and much more. Park stores on each side of the lake for food, souvenirs and products. This is a wonderful place to visit.

We are truly blessed to be able to live so close to such a beautiful park. It has 29 miles of hiking trails and gets more visitors per year (over 1.5 million) than some national parks. A perfect place to spend the day swimming, hiking and enjoying the great outdoors with your family.

Devils lake state park is one of the most popular state parks in Wisconsin. Its beauty always amazes me. My kids have all grown up spending their summers are the lake. The water is warm and it stays shallow for quite a ways out.

Steinke Basin is a part of Devils lake that isn't as busy during the summer. It is a great place to mountain bike and hike. In the winter, the trails are reserved for cross country skiers.

Devil's Lake is a grand and awesome place. It offers swimming, hiking, walking, picnicking, camping, etc. Even on a very busy warm Sunday afternoon you can find a spot to relax. Walk the RR tracks and find a large rock to sit and read on for a few hours, will give you a lovely afternoon. If you a feeling energized climb the bluff to the Devil's Doorway! The view is stunning!
