A wonderful location with great trails and views. Only the main entrance had staff to provide change for the parking fee and cc not accepted on manual envelope so we had to drive back and forth around the park.

First, we chose this park because it accepts the national parks senior pass. Most state parks in WI charge an entrance fee with no senior discount and higher fees for out of state visitors.
There are numerous trails at Devil's Lake state park, most of which are classed as difficult and steep. And they are not lying. We found a couple of the trails to be 45 degrees with awkward stone "stairs" for ascent and descent. Beautiful views, however, from the top. We survived.
None of the trails are handicapped accessible.

Unfortunately, I can't get to Devil's Lake State Park often enough. We are so fortunate to have such a beautiful, unspoiled park. I go hiking every opportunity I get. The view from the eastern and western bluffs is unbelievable this time of year....well, anytime of year. Before I leave, I'm already looking forward to coming back again.

Hiking from beginner to advanced rockclimbers, a beach that is perfect for all ages, no motors on the lake, plenty of fish. Can be busy as getout in the summer. Campsites are great but you gotta book em a year out!
