We stopped for a late lunch at Top Deck, part of Gordon's Lodge. The restaurant is right on North Bay with a beautiful view and this certainly is a big reason to stop here. It's a nice reprieve from all the bustle on the western side of the peninsula. The menu is limited but provided some nice choices and specials for the day. The 4 of us were pleased with each of our choices. The service was a little slow, especially considering there were so few customers by the time we were there AND I'd still come back here again for a relaxing meal.

Our recent meal at Top Deck was wonderful. I particularly enjoyed the walleye and the mussels. Everyone in our group was pleased with their choices. Service staff is friendly and helpful.Top Deck is located on a beautiful property on the waterfront with a view of the sunset.

We went for lunch here today. While the views were spectacular, the food and service were disappointing. We stopped here for lunch while on the Door County Lighthouse Trolley Tour--which is fantastic by the way.

Our lunch choices were limited because of being on the trolley tour. We had choice of a hot Chicken Salad Sandwich with Cheese or Caesar Salad with Salmon. I had the Chicken Salad Sandwich which was not very good. Only ate it because I was hungry :(

Then we had Cherry Pie with Ice Cream for dessert. Cherry pie was cold-disappointed. Was looking forward to hot cherry pie with ice cream. The pie filling was good by the pie crust was not. I left the crust and just ate the cherries.

The service was nonexistent. We had to keep chasing the waiter down to get drink refills. He also climbed over things to be able to get to us. Very awkward and unappealing.

There are much better restaurants in Door County. Don't bother with this one.

This is a wonderful place to go and sit by the water to have dinner. Our food was good and the service was good. Sunday evenings there is usually a band playing also.

Gordon Lodge has maintained the price of their breakfast buffet but has cut back on all the things we used to go there for. The omelette station has been removed, the pastries have been cut back to only a couple, the breads are gone, no granola, fewer fruits, and no fresh pancakes. The current price is outlandish for the offering. We will not return for the breakfast buffet. The scenery is still superb and the wait staff friendly.
