My wife & I spent a long weekend at this hotel and found the room very comfortable and clean, the bed,as usual was a King size plus.Great staff, great food at the Brewers Fayre restaurant, especially their themed "takeaway buffet"meals of an evening.Recommended,Dave & Joy Nash.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the Hotel have a better outlook than those at the back. But who goes to stay in their room looking out the window ?

it is quite a nice location, but very noisy for traffic, we ate in the restaurant attached and were again disappointed, i had the £16 steak, which was cooked to my specifications, however very poor quality, i just couldn't get through it, it was very tough, and my jaw ached after only a few mouthfuls, which considering its supposed to be a good quality steak, is not what i expected. My partner had the scampi which he described as tasteless, we then waited 45 minutes for a chocolate brownie sundae, which i found to be nice except for the brownies which were still partially frozen and therefore inedible. The room was cold when we entered, and on turning on the heating found it warmer, however it turned itself off far too quickly and we were cold again in no time. the room was fairly clean, the bed was well made, but the bathroom was dirty. the kettle was full of limescale and was very old, very loud, and very slow, there wasn't enough milk, so i went to get some more, they gave it to me, but weren't particularly polite about it. We ate breakfast in the same restaurant mainly because we were on a time schedule, the breakfast was worse than the evening meal by far. we paid for the cooked breakfast, and it was disgusting, for the best part of £10, which is expensive anyway, the food was very poor, everything soggy and very greasy, I've had cheaper breakfasts that were so much better. All in all i am very disappointed, yes its a budget hotel, and so fair enough with basic rooms and capped heating, but don't advertise the restaurant next door, it is the worst I have ever been to.

Just stayed for 1 night over Bank holiday weekend. Hotel quite busy but very quiet. Room spotlessly clean and staff very friendly and helpful. This also applied to The Brewers Fayre restaurant next door. Unusual setting but only used as a base for visiting relations in Norwich.

If you stay in Travel Inns regularly, you will know that they vary somewhat ! This is definitely one of the better ones - the staff are always great, rooms are clean ( mobile phone reception is a bit hit and miss), pub/restaurant next door. Good value if in East Anglia on a budget.
