This Sleep Inn is an excellent hotel, deserving of its Gold Award. It is quiet and very clean. It is a typical Sleep Inn with the big walk-in shower, good for seniors, but not for families with small children -- no tub to bathe them in. Good breakfast, but room is small. There is no elevator, so request a first floor room , which we did,if you can't or don't want to carry luggage up the stairs. Good restaurants nearby, almost in walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

There is no rest for the residents of room 103 in the Summersville WV Sleep Inn. Room 103 is next to the preparation room for the breakfast. There is a large fridge that vibrates and the vibration can be heard and felt in room 103.

I complained to the front desk who said the only other room was on the 2nd floor directly above 103.Although my wife did notice persons coming in later and getting 1st floor rooms. However, since there was no elevator and I am a heart patient I declined. I am sure the vibration could be felt above the room as well as next to it. In addition since the noise was constant we figured rightly that we would get used to it.

However, nothing we did would get us used to the noise we would incounter at 5:30am. When the breakfast person came in to get it ready as she carried it out she would allow the door to slam behind her. Probably because her hand were full. When at 8:00 I finally got up to ask her to please leave the door open she said that it was against the rules and that she was not slamming the door. After my complaint the intensity and frequency increased dramatically. Sort of a how dare you complain!!

I complained to the front desk about the door problem and all she could state was that she had offered to move me the night before. having no concern for my heart problems or the fact that the slamming of the door would be nearly as bad above the prep room as beside it.

We always stay at a choice hotel with rarely a complaint. This situation is unfortunate as simlpy leaving the door open while breakfast is being served would fix the problem. DeleteReplyForwardMove...

The hotel is very easy to find from Route 19 and the check in staff were very friendly and helpful. The simple room was very clean. The beds were not very comfortable (a little stiff) and the slivers of pillows ensured a rough night's sleep once the doors down the hall were heard slamming most of the night. The shower was wonderful! The water pressure was good and there was a massager. That helped to soothe the body aches from the bed and rough night's sleep. We had coffee (a few grounds dragged through some water) and were not impressed so we will go to breakfast elsewhere.

Hotel is clean and attractive. Each bed had four down/feather pillows, not often found at this price range. Breakfast was fine; the biscuits warmed in the toaster oven were very good, but it would be nice if real butter were provided. And half-and-half for the coffee would also be a plus. The hotel, which was well away from the highway, was easily reached and quiet.

Very freindly staff, outdoor heated, pool, sand volleyball court, back from the noise of RT. 19. Great Breakfast, Boiled eggs, Gravy & Biscuits Bagels, Fruit, Yogurt, cereal and much more. ONE OF THE BEST IN SUMMERSVILLE.

We rented two rooms at the Sleep Inn on our way from NC to PA. The room my fiance and I were in had a broken air conditioner. We were moved to another room at 2:30AM due to 80 degree temps in the room and no A/C. This room needed some minor repairs as well.
There is no elevator, which is probably stated on their website, etc., but I had not read this in advance. We were all a little surprised about carrying our luggage upstairs to our rooms, but it wasn't a big deal since we are all physically able to do so.
Overall the experience was average, and I say this due to the pricing. It seemed to be a high rate for the low enthusiasm with the desk service, lack of fitness and other facilities, need of repairs, etc. Next time we will try the Comfort Inn.

We stopped here on our way back to Canada in Nov. 2005. We got a good rate as we are seniors. The hotel was very clean. It is easy to get to from the highway. There is a large Wal-Mart across the highway for something to do if you like browsing there. We will be using this Sleep Inn for our stopover next year.
